Well, the first sentence was enough for me. He cannot possibly know if that which he asserts to be true is actually true. He treats faith as fact.

Why do you listen to someone that you characterize as "talking pure garbage"?

@Doofenshmirtz regularly comments about people giving <whomever> free advertising. Just sayin'. ;-)

It is one thing to be a scholar of/and to quote scripture. It is another to know God. For instance, Jesus told the Jews: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you."

In point, to be known and loved by God, and to know and love him in return is one thing. But to love the idea of such, as readers find in the Bible, is something else. It's like reading a script for a play, and pretending to be the character. If you ask the actors how they know that what they say is true, they will refer to the script rather than to a living God. Their God and salvation is in the scriptures, which are only scratchings on paper...as if there were no real God to whom to refer. The Bible is someone elses testimony, spoken among a Brotherhood. To read it and presume an inclusion, is like eavesdropping on anothers conversation, and then inserting yourself into the matter as if you knew and were a part of the backstory. At best, the Bible should cause one to seek God and know him for yourself. Not pretend that that spoken in the Bible is your own relationship. It is someone elses. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Those are commonly held protestant beliefs, so its not like he is making it up. There is debate about the timing of the rapture, but most do believe in it. No one disagrees about the 2nd coming of Christ.

IMO he brings too much politics into his sermons, so I don't listen to him

Because he still has a lot of influence and I try to expose his fraud. I remember clearly right after 9-11 happened, Hagee was on TBN with Pastors Jan and Paul Crouch and he said that he didn't think we would pass 2018 because the rapture would happen before then. It is a lot of baloney. Even Jesus said in the book of Revelations that he was to be coming soon. He said that 2000 years ago. :)

This Hagee character sounds mentally ill. Explained by this book.

Can anyone who "knows God" actually produce any empirical evidence of God?

Not that I'm aware of. It'd be like trying to produce empirical evidence of conscience, even though civilization is built from it. Some things you just know. What intrigues me is why men of God can relate to conscience. But men of conscience alone cannot relate to God. I suppose it's because conscience is mans collective birthright. But God is the addition to the matter, which is the meaning of to be reborn. It is an odd concept. But what is so normal about birth or life in the first place. Is it just a matter of, well, that's how it is. One would think that the concept of salvation from the mundanity of life, death, and sin, to a new life in a perfect God/Father would be a welcome thing. But tradition and the pull of the world is a great competing factor.

Believer always believe their belief is the truth and anything or anyone that conflicts with or contradicts their truth is wrong. It is just human nature.

The Extreme Gravity research indicates the existence of a Being of Light that can review our lives with us......
whether or not you consider that this Being of Light can be defined as "God" is another question I suppose.

The fact that reduced blood flow to the brain creates a certain experience is not empirical evidence of a God.
