They deter the lawful from committing them. The Chicago shooters were not lawful.

 

Its for the same reason blinders are put on horses. If you want people to blindly follow, you have to keep certain things out of their view.

 

So murder laws do stop murders. If there were no laws against murder there would be no grounds to lock up murderers.

They provide grounds to lock up murderers. Preventing further murders.

 

No he can't, it just won't be that easy to fix. It isn't just Blacks that have adopted this style of parenting, it's a much better deal for the fathers who don't want and will not accept the responsibility of parenting. What might force change is for women to start crossing their legs until THEIR conditions are met.

 

They don't really care about 39 people shot in Chicago in one weekend. They've never really cared about those they are supposed to be helping in blue state crime infested cities... If they cared, they'd have to admit that gun crime is mostly a black on black thing and that many of these shooters come from fatherless homes, homes with generational poverty. We can't have Democrats telling the truth and insulting their base now, can we? If Democrats have nothing to gain from a shooting, they won't touch it.

If it's not a mass shooting done by a white guy at a school, mall or church, they pretty much ignore it. If it won't advance their agendas, forgettaboutit.
Such bleeding heart phonies selling the same empty platitudes every election cycle.

It's obvious that Democrats only care about one thing. Demonizing gun violence based on skin color to advance their us against them agenda.

Obama had his chance and he blew it! Instead of spending his time mocking those (strongly implied white guys) who cling to their Bibles and guns, he could have tackled the above instead of making Black people think they are perpetual victims. In other words, he strongly enabled more of what we are seeing in blue cities like Detroit, DC, St. Louis, NY city, Chicago, etc. It's only gotten worse because nobody really cares about them or cares enough to be honest about it.

We have one of our two parties making those born into generational poverty into their pawns in the game of politics. Like you said, they need to step up and take responsibility instead of believing the lying left who enables their victimhood.

The data says otherwise. Black children score terrible in school, gang violence is astronomical, marriage rate is terrible, and no other demographic is as violent or crime prone. Why do you think that is? Systemic racism? That means you’re just ignoring the obvious and doing what all Democrats do. Excuses. It’s the broken family.

And I mention schools because that’s another blame game. Inner city schools would be nicer if the element inhabiting them wasn’t as destructive, abusive or completely apathetic. And that comes from the home. It’s NOT a spending issue. It’s a student issue. But Dems want to always blame money. It’s ALWAYS the money or racism. Can’t fix a problem that doesn’t exist. You can have as many laws as you want but unless you enforce them, they mean nothing. We have a law that says you can't cross the border without the proper documentation. Doesn't mean much. They could make a law that you can't drive over 30 mph but if no one gets stopped, no one obeys the law. Look no further than San Francisco if you want proof.

 

Your original argument was that fatherless homes are leading to gun crime in our major cities. I’ve provided evidence that black families do not experience a disproportionate level of fatherless homes when you avoid conflating unmarried parents with fatherlessness. If you’d like to concede that that is not the cause then we can move on to other causes, otherwise you need to backup you claim.

 

That ruling was overturned and he was sent to jail pending his trial. So this one case shows that he was not released and was imprisoned awaiting trial. He has not been convicted yet. He is in prison. Where are murderers being released from prison?

 

Raising other people's kids is costly, especially with the left constantly incentivizing people to have babies they aren't responsible for.

 

Fix the cultural problems that plague the neighborhoods from where these societal parasites originate.
