    Trump kills everything he touches.

Did you see the interview with Kellyanne Conway on CNN? Her marriage is toast. Her job at the WH killed it.

Pence's allegiance and fidelity is to his supernatural dogma that comports with his political ideology. That commitment can accommodate Trumpery as a matter of political expediency only up to a point, and that point was exceeded on January 6. He had leased his soul to the devil, but he refused to sell it.

In the era of Trumpery, openly rejecting Trump's baseless, self-serving lies consigns one to marginalization for however long the RINOs of Trumpery fester in the GOP.

Whatever solace it may afford him, Pence's supernatural dogma and political ideology will endure long after Trumpery has fizzled.

In the meantime, his ambition makes him a target for the petty vendetta self-indulgence that now defines trumpery.

A "trump" was once just a playing card which is elevated above its usual rank in trick-taking games. A "trump suit" once was a card game designation. Of course, a "trump" is also a fart in cockney slang. All eminently apt.

Tillerson, Sessions, Kelly, Mattis, McMaster, Barr, Pence, Papadopoulos, Gates, Manifort, Cohen, Flynn, Stone, Weisselberg, etc. etc., etc.

Trump has diminished or destroyed many who had the misfortune of straying within his destructive sphere, exerting the influence of a Black Hole on their lives.

He brayed that he appointed "only the best," and a few he lured into his operation were actually competent. Of course, when they failed to genuflect, grovel, and become his osculating butt barnacles or could serve as his scapegoats, he spewed his vindictive aspersions upon them.

In addition to the Trump goons of January 6 who were identified, apprehended, and prosecuted, consider the toll he has taken on the good, the bad, and the indifferent who fled his destructive allure too late:

The compelling sworn testimony of so many belatedly candid, Republican, White House Pinocchio clones is a gold-plated, carte blanche entrée to his far-from-exclusive vendetta list. So many have been fleeced of their reputations like marks at a sleazy casino.

He had been seriously diminished over the quadrennium.

    Horsepuckey.
I see Pence vs Trump as Mr. Rogers of the "Neighborhood" vs "Conan the Barbarian".
Religion is dropping like a stone in the USA and people are instead picking up weapons trying to right every perceived thing they don't like. - the abortion "protesters" come to mind. At what point to they start feeling empowered enough by their righteousness to start killing people? Those people at Kavenaugh's house aren't the senior citizens and misfits that went into the Capitol. These people have the government's permission to decided when illegal is "too" illegal.
Given the general unhinging of the progressive democrats, we need Trump the Barbarian, and we need him to appoint Freddy Kruger as Attorney General and start putting democrat lawbreakers in prison.
Can you even dream up what the deep state and the democrats will try to do as "Russia Hoax 2.0?" I shudder to think. Probably pay off the Saudi's to fly a plane into Trumps HQ!

    Uhh... he is Biden's age.

So? There can be vast differences in cognitive ability at that age. Besides, Rudy's a boozehound.

Pence was never anything but a threat by Trump- 'If you take me out, this is what you'll get.' Harris is the same. Nobody wants either of them running anything.

As a centrist, civil libertarian and anti theist Pence's religious views are an obstacle for me. That said I am impressed with Pence's discipline and his ability to not say moronic and outrageous things. He always comes sharp and alert and thinks before he speaks unlike Trump. No conservative can say he is a RINO.

I think it is moronic to say that because he was Trump's VP he is somehow not qualified. The people that say that would vote for Beto for president so their opinions do not matter.

Pence certainly comes with a nice resume. He's worked as lawyer, been in congress. He has been a governor and VP.

The big issue for me is that he is a neocon. I have no doubt about that he said his model for VP was Dick Cheney in 2016.

There's no question that Pence is "qualified" based upon his experience.

But his fringe principles and his extreme religious views (being too muddled with political views) make him a hard pass.

Pence has to many nuts in the head to ever vote for him.
He thinks women should never have an abortion. He will try to instill Christianity as a state religion, at least laws to reflect that.

His political fate was sealed the day he agreed to be the VP of the most narcissistic liar that got impeached 2x. Lost the popular vote both elections. And got fired by the American people for being the most inept president in the history of the USA.

The People spoke and said, "you're fired". Such whining.

Only at the state level. If the women of those states don't care, that's up to them.
If they do care, they will vote out the misogynists.

His religious views are no more extreme than the average democrat. The global warming lie is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated.

They call it an existential threat but beg other countries to drill more oil.

The world, including the United States, is constantly feeling the effects of climate change, which is also globally acknowledged as a real threat. Short-term economic issues of oil production have no bearing on the issue; until alternatives are ready to take over, we can't very well just stop drilling and refining oil. Otherwise global inflation will only be worse than it is already.

Pence is not a viable GOP presidential nominee for 2024.

The more important problem is that none of people considered for nominations from both parties are not suitable nominees. We will wind up with yet another incompetent.

No, we get the government we request. I understand that we are the problem. Or at least you are. I no longer vote.
