robert reich is floating "liz cheney " for president

Republicans loved her and made her the 3rd highest ranking member of their party. The only thing that changed was she wouldn't kneel before their false prophet Trump. She chose her morals over keeping the status quo, and they vilified her for it. I'm not sure they see the irony.

Feel free to do that, but I don't see how one person's opinion translates to "the left" as whole. Democrats are pretty much guaranteed to vote for their own candidate rather than a Republican one. Independents might pull for Cheney, but that can only happen if she made it through the primaries, which is very unlikely given the fact that Independents don't have a say in it in many States, like Florida. No one who crossed Trump will be allowed to succeed in GOP primaries.

Liz Cheney has a 9 percent backing of the GOP...I deduce this because of a recent poll about Biden's popularity which produces a percentage stating the country is going in the right direction and then 9 additional percentage points stating Biden is doing a great job (this 9 percent, I surmise, are neocons who despise Trump)

Cheney has to realize she won't win the presidential primary for the GOP. She must run as an independent. She doesn't have the backing of the GOP 'cause the GOP is the most conservative it has been since Reagan...Trump was the most conservative president since Reagan.

 

Meh. Liz is way too much in love with capitalism for most dems. She is, however, just as authoritarian as most dems. Another thing which binds progressives and neocons together is their hatred of Trump.

Your reference that American Conservative Union backs Liz Cheney is bogus 'cause American Conservative Union's definition of conservative is bogus, er, what's bogus is ACU's contention that all conservatives are right-winged (just like it's bogus to contend all right-wingers are conservative)...Just ask any civil libertarian...A civil libertarian would call many incorrectly labelled right-winged conservatives like Liz Cheney fascists, er, authoritarian.
