Seriously, how does one evolve on abortion? What a big, flip-flopping phony who is now riling people up to take the public's eyes off his failed policies as president.

    The article:
"There is no one in public life who has undergone such a dramatic transformation. He did not change because of the Catholic Church: it did not change its position on abortion. He did not change because of science: it did not change its position on when life begins. It was Biden who changed, and he did so for totally political reasons." ~ Catholic League president Bill Donohue

1974: A year after Roe v. Wade was decided, he said the ruling had gone “too far” and that a woman seeking an abortion should not have the “sole right to say what should happen to her body.”

1976: He votes for the “Hyde Amendment” which bans federal funding of abortions.

1981: He introduces the “Biden Amendment” which prohibits foreign-aid funding of biomedical research involving abortion.

1982: He votes for a constitutional amendment allowing states to overturn Roe v. Wade.

1983: He votes against a constitutional amendment allowing states to overturn Roe v. Wade.

1984: He votes for the Mexico City Policy which bans federal funding for abortions.

1987: He becomes chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and leads the fight against Supreme Court nominee Judge Robert Bork, whom he said was opposed to Roe v. Wade.

1994: He says, “Those of us who are opposed to abortion should not be compelled to pay for them.”

1995: He votes to ban partial-birth abortion.

1997: He votes to ban partial-birth abortion.

2003: He votes to ban partial-birth abortion

2007: He criticizes the Supreme Court decision upholding the ban on partial-birth abortion, calling it “paternalistic.”

2008: He says he is opposed to overturning Roe v. Wade.

2012: He says the government does not have “a right to tell other people that women, they can’t control their body.”

2019: He says he is opposed to the “Hyde Amendment” which bans the federal funding of abortion.

2020: He says he supports abortion “under any circumstances.”

Biden is a perfect example of a hypocrite. But hypocrites love him.

As a point of reflection, I would be interested to know the Catholic league's evolving views on Paedophilia.

Ask your precious president, Joe. He's a "practicing" Catholic.

Many people probably are wondering when he's gonna stop "practicing" and actually be one. ;)

I wonder if when taking it they are honoring Judas. He also supped with Jesus just before he went out to betray him.

People’s views change. The Catholic Church has even changed it’s abortion position over time.

No, it was cited in relationship to Biden's flip flopping on abortion. Try to focus. :)

Let's look at the credentials of the author to judge the merit of the argument.

    When?
Shall I go get in my comfy chair and wait for you to come back and prove it, or were you tossing :icon_shithappens: at the wall and hoping it would stick?

Two of the Supreme Court Justices who voted in favor of the repeal said in their hearings that Roe was settled law and they changed their minds within a few years time. Puts the several decades of Biden's evolution into a starker contrast now doesn't it.

If they can, he can. And if you're going to call him out, call them out too.

If you want to discuss the SC Justices, go start a thread on them.
This thread is about Biden's massive flip-flopping done for no other reason than party politics.

Yes it is about Biden flip-flopping predicated on an abortion decision handed down by Supreme Court Justices who themselves flip-flopped. They are connected issues, and your dodge has been noted for all to see.

Now, you're pretending to know what my thread is about, and I'm dodging?
What else you got before we call it a wrap?

The democrats have made tossing **** at the wall (hoping something would stick) an art form. Despite how messy it looks they'll still call it art. Just ask how much Hunter has made spitting out paint through a straw.

    Thank You for the information!

Very interesting dramatic transformation from his past…Mindset about the 1974 Roe v Wade ruling that had gone “to far”.

To his current… 2020 mindset of supporting abortion “under any circumstances”!!!

I agree, with your assessment of him…

What a big, flip-flopping phony who is now riling people up to take the public's eyes off his failed policies as president.

I will add… his multiple failed policies!!!

I don't have to pretend to know what your thread is about....you flat out stated what it was about in your previous response.

    Remember this?

And my response was that the issue of Biden's decades long flip-flopping(which your thread is about according to you) is directly connected to the flip-flopping of two of the SCOTUS judges who flipped on what they said in their confirmation hearings, and because of that connection, if you're going to call him out, logical consistency says you ought to be calling them out too.

What happened in between these two time points?
In 2006, Biden was getting ready to try to run for President in the Democratic primaries (which he announced at the beginning of the year in 2007. Obama ended up winning the nomination instead that year)

With Biden setting his sights on the Presidency and getting the nomination from Democratic Party voters across the country, apparently he had to change his opinion.
