"Justice Thomas: SCOTUS should reconsider contraception, same-sex marriage rulings"

"Justice Clarence Thomas argued in a concurring opinion released on Friday that the Supreme Court should reconsider its past rulings codifying rights to contraception access, same-sex relationships and same-sex marriage."

And why wouldn't this be the next step considering that this Court has shown it has little to no regard to established precedent?

Contraction is natures way of preventing poor people from breeding. I say put it in the drinking water in high crime areas.

That's bogus, us, or the women we were with, used it, frequently, poor or rich, to deny such would be lying or one who doesn't participate in sex

Seems moronic trying to ban contraception. Maybe it’s just free tax payer contraception? I’m torn. I don’t like anyone getting free **** I pay for, but there are a lot of people too stupid to breed. :)

Has a Supreme Court justice ever been boosted for diminished mental capacities? He should retire before it happens.

This court is set to have a new record of rulings overturned in the future, they've already got at least two.

Oh, but our very, very honest right-wingers assured everyone that the Roe decision would not lead to further intrusions on liberty…!

Please, please tell me that they weren’t lying to us….!?

What "intrusion"? How is letting the people decide anything other than democracy?

Because none of that crap is mentioned in the Constitution. The SCOTUS is there to interpret the Constitution and that is all. Activist justices are a disgrace to the office.

Y’all didn’t care about precedent when you created the right to gay marriage.

Why do you care about it now?

I told y’all that it would lead to gay marriage being overturned. Which it will. And it should.

Thomas has a valid point though I don't think it is as strong as abortion. He is correct that the Constitution does not guarantee a right to "privacy" per se. However, it is clearly implied or can easily be inferred whereas the constitution says or implies absolutely nothing about abortion or anything related to abortion..

Do you believe the established precedents of Dred Scott, segregation, or internment without due process of citizens should not have been overturned? Didn't Roe v Wade itself alter established precedent?

I would say that the 4th Amendment does guarantee a right to "privacy"

Even if the right to privacy can be inferred, one cannot infer additional rights granted by an inferred right.

Is it a right to beat your child in private? To shoot heroin in private? To rape in private?

Soooooo since the constitution did not confer the right to vote to everyone should that also just be considered an “inferred right”?

I am also rather hoping you realise how important your right to privacy is. Do you want every visit to your medical officer announced on Facebook?

The Constitution didn't say anything about it, the 14th amendment did.

That's what many believe, also, but it does not say specifically "privacy" per se.

No. Good point. IMO Griswald needs to be vacated for the same reason Roe was vacated. But I don't think contraception is in any jeopardy.

Well, that is true, but there are these little things like due process and equal protection under the law for all citizens. Of course it doesn't say anything about man, either.

And that's all Thomas is correctly saying.

Leftists are just big mad because there goes their right to free housing, iphone 13's, and abortion punch cards.

Oh man, I missed that last part, oh man oh man how did I let that last part slip by me?

    Allow me to retort.

Someone that lives in a country that requires people to use facial recognition to ensure they haven't stepped out of their houses or go to jail is worried about medical officer announcements on Facebook.

Oh man, that's the SECOND great laugh I've had today!

Orwell couldn't have made this stuff up!
