I learned that today (6/28/2022), in New York State, is the day of the Democratic Primary 2022, just as I got off of work!

So, I had to rush home and hit the internet to research the people on the Democrat's primary ballot before heading to the polls. Thanks, Ballotpedia (ballotpedia.org) and Wikipedia (wikipedia.org)!

Now, I have been a disillusioned democrat recently because of all that's going on in the country that's failing. But as I read the backgrounds of the candidates, I saw stories full of successes, including economic successes, turning around towns and cities across the state. Saving them from fiscal disasters. Often left by Republicans. Democratic candidates who didn't have a successful background, and policy, were easy to eliminate from consideration.

Now, my faith in the Democratic party has been restored! Now, in general, I think that Democrats can do this, turn this country around. We just need to get the right people into place in preparation for the general election.

I did my part. I did the research, I cast my vote. I'll see you in the general election Republicans! :evileye:

Just for reference, the election is for the State of New York, but my faith in Democrats, in general, has risen again.

Need more moderates on both sides. While Trump and Trumpism remain ugly beasts rearing their heads, I highly doubt I'll be casting any votes for a Republican, but I won't be voting for any Democrats who have anything to do with a woke progressive agenda either.

I suppose everyone has to have faith in something and the contents of a septic tank were already taken.

I know let's let everybody vote on their birthdays every year and just keep a running total.

I noticed you didn't include any actual examples.

So your faith in a political party has been restored simply because you read propaganda published by politician's election campaigns seeking reelection?

Seems like you are easily swayed.

    Nothing succeeds like success.

Particularly when the only thing countering it is vicious lies, corruption and outright bigotry

Primaries aren't proving nothing, but who members of the Party wants to run in the General. Coming in second place then isn't "success".

I really don't think "Blame the Democrats" is going to be seen as an acceptable plan to end inflation in November.

Especially since Thomas will then be leaking their next decision to make abortion illegal in all the States, while Kavanaugh will be making rape legal at parties but only after you've had a whole keg up your ass.

Did you get lost? This thread isn't about the SC.

Disgust with the SC is going to be reflected in not voting Republican. We need more congresscritters if we're going to appoint and approve more judges.

Even if the SC swung in your direction you still wouldn't vote for a Republican. It has nothing to do with this thread, once again proving you enjoy walking in the weeds of topics.

You might actually like the upstate areas of New York State.

I own a small trucking company... we no longer do business in NY, CA, WA, NJ, or OR because of the added expense and headache.

    It's not worth it.

I've been to New York too many times... no intention of going back.
