And that's the difference that destroys the active measure "whataboutism"!

Great clarity & context in @Cybred 's post.

I don't think anyone should be president that didn't serve in the military. I went from Eisenhower and Kennedy to Trump and Biden......Sad..... A president should be somebody.

Asthma can be diagnosed. Bone spurs mostly occurs in old people.

I also think that if we engage some war of choice, the President and Vice President should be required to go and live in the war zone on a rotating basis, like maybe 4 months in, 4 months out. I also think members of Congress should have to rotate in an out of it. There's 535 of them, so about 130 of them at a time. They can vote by satellite phone while they're over there.

    Skin in the game.

He could not prove what he claimed perhaps she would try to care to take a stab at it yourself

That is a horrendously stupid idea.

Every war the U.S. fights is a "war of choice". Sometimes it's the right choice. No amount of "skin in the game" will make that choice any more or any less legitimate.

As an asthmatic, this is a load of crap. You can absolutely be athletic enough to play in sports with the right control(that definitely didn't exist around the time of Vietnam, by the way.) but the idea of pulling a fellow 5'9, 170+ pound male out of a trench equipped with heavier equipment that weighs an additional 30-50 pounds while being an asthmatic LMFAO.

It's easy for people without asthma to talk, it's really easy for you guys to talk. Now for those with short-term asthma, they're the lucky ones. Living with asthma 24/7 is like living with an invisible cord that's always ready to snap your neck off at any given moment.

No one with asthma has ever served in the military in all of history? I find that hard to believe.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/ar...he-military-with-asthma#enlisting-with-asthma If you don't know much about the physical ailment, which might honestly in some regards could be seen as a terminal illness then yes you would find it hard to believe. But for those of us with asthma, specifically chronic asthma it's not unbelievable in the slightest.

Asthma makes routine breathing at times a difficult challenge when an attack happens. And you think this person with a compromised breathing system is capable of lifting over 200 pounds of male muscle/body fat without straining his body and ability to breathe?

In a nutshell, the asthmatic is not capable of performing this task. Be it me, or Biden or anybody else. And especially not with the medicine afforded to him in 1975.

I don't think there is any solid concrete evidence. This story is kind of old and I think the type of evidence is limited or circumstantial. I think the main evidence was the daughters of the doctor who wrote the note, claimed their father never examined Trump and did it as a favor at the request of Trump's father. I think Trump ex lawyer Cohen has also come out with statements where he said that Trump tasked him with fixing the deferment issues and that there were no bone spurs. Beyond those I think there has only been speculation from interviews well before he ran for president when reporters asked him about the deferments. I think in one case he did not even know which foot had the bone spurs and in other stories the timelines did not match up but that could just be a symptom of being old and forgetful.

I think another issue is bone spurs cannot be cured. You can have an operation which would alleviate the problem for a short time but they come back. Also the standard treatment would be stretching and exercise to alleviate pain. This would be something he would have had to deal with his entire life. Given his wealth you would think he would have a specialist treating him for this throughout. The fact he claims it was temporary seem very suspect. Also if he wanted to prove he had bone spurs all he would have to do is release a present day x-ray. The damage does not go away.

Now in connection to the Biden whataboutism. I think if you had similar evidence where someone close to the doctor claimed they gave diagnosis as a favor or was paid to say he had asthma it would be a start. If you found a Biden lawyer or other employee that claimed he bragged about never having asthma that would be a start too. Also if you can show that Biden has never taken meds or used an inhaler to treat his asthma you could have a case but like Trump without solid medical evidence you could not be sure.

I'd put them in some rear-echelon area where I could put them to work at a field hospital, stocking shelves, cooking, doing laundry, and mopping up the blood off the floor.

Because I find it entertaining that all the people who thought it was a thing now make excuses for Joe Biden

I know.... It's not as though Democrat double standards are exactly newsworthy or surprising is it?

But then again you see only what you wish to see....
