Russia has Potemkin elections. The opposition is allowed to run for the effect of democracy, but no popular leaders can run - indeed, popular leaders mysteriously wind up dead or in jail.

So he wasn't elected twice, then a gap with Medvedev because he can only run two consecutive terms (like the US) and then re-elected? You think Russia doesn't have elections? With that kind of knowledge no wonder Eastern Europe is still a backwater among European nations.

The 'old ladies' didn't get killed, they ran for it and got away from the backward basket case Zelensky is running, millions of them. The castration included people not speaking Russian. Don't worry, it will all come out in the end. Ruusia was only an ally of Germany until 1941. :)

The Unz Review and I’m immediately suspicious, but sometimes an interesting article pops up. This one is about a CBS mainstream documentary which itself is unusual. A must look at the mess Ukraine is in and realistically, why it can barely defend itself, let alone win as it's reduced to people bringing in military equipment in their cars. A little bit of reality for our believers.

    https://www.unz.com/aanglin/cbs-rel...30-of-us-weapons-arrive-at-their-destination/
CBS Releases “Arming Ukraine” Documentary Claiming Only 30% of US Weapons Arrive at Their Destination.

“I have no idea what it means that the mainstream media is doing documentaries criticizing this war. It probably must mean something. It couldn’t have been produced and then released by accident.
We’ve seen other signs that the Ukraine is getting thrown under the bus. The United Nations and Amnesty International are now both openly accusing the Ukraine of being involved in serious war crimes, particularly with relation to the systematic use of human shields as a core strategic doctrine.”

The documentary is here, or perhaps it's a part of it:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/video/arming-ukraine-cbs-reports/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7e&linkId=176116167#x
“Flooding a country with advanced weapons can have grave consequences, even when done with the best of intentions. This CBS Reports documentary goes inside Ukraine to get a firsthand look at how military aid gets from the border to frontline soldiers, and explores the difficulties of getting the aid to the fighters who need it.”

You are a confusing lad. Putin led Russia away from communism and the country prospered under him ever since.

You think, that election is when electorate go and slip a piece of paper in the box. But election is a political process, with real politics, with discussions between candidates, with equal access to mass media with independent elections commission and fair count of votes. None of this are in Russia, and things become a lot worse from times, when Medvedev was puppet president.

No, Jelcin, Gaidar or Cubais led Russia away from communism. These bots even don't know their countries recent history.

In 20 years, Putin built Russia up into a world power again. Much of Eastern Europe joined the European Union and became economic basket cases. Now Ukraine is being used as a punch bag for Russia and NATO has militarily abandoned it to its fate. It’s over and should be a lesson learned for you.

I think you are confused my dear lad - it was Yeltsin who led Russia from communism, Putin led Russia from democracy to to autocracy, where people who oppose Putin are poisoned, jailed or killed:

And Putin led Russia to invasion of Ukraine.

Yes, world power with 1% of World's economic wight and army, which can't beat even weak and poor Ukraine. Again, total lack of reality here... Only thing he has in nuclear arsenal, which was not made by him.

    @zalekbloom
"These are all the Russian oligarchs who have died suddenly, some in suspicious circumstances, in recent months"

Do you know why? Because they were in league with the Deep State. You read too many spy novels.

You still think Ukraine is going to win? Really? Listen: Stalin and Hitler, they've gone. Both did terrible things but it's over. Communism collapsed in 1991 and the only Nazi militias left in Europe are in Ukraine, which even NATO has abandoned. Learn to get on with your neighbours and you'll find peace instead of trying to revert back to a WW2 mindset.

You convinced me - it proves the Putin is a saint, God kills everyone who opposes Putin *who is in league with the Deep State). A perfect example how democracy should should function.

It's a fact. There is no real democracy in Russia.
15 years jail for spreading 'misinformation' about the war in Ukraine. That's more years than capitol murder.

You know full well many civilians have been killed in Ukraine. Saying otherwise shows you are not honest.

Uncured Bacon seems to carry water for old European colonialist powers. For example, he seemed to deny that GB had anything to do with the number of deaths in Ireland during the famine.

And right on time Perun has produced another of his excellent series on YouTube reports. This time on the the use of long range precision guided missiles by both sides during the ongoing war (with some history thrown in of course). And the his conclusions? Well 'interesting' is probably the best word at least from a Russian perspective.

I regularly watch some of theor videos just to check blind spots but they often are simply repeating Russian state propaganda uncritically. When something they claimed would happen doesn't they just move on and pretend they never mentioned it. No self reflection of correcting the record.
