Agreed .. it is dishonest for people/ "Kris" to downplay civilian deaths .. but hey, this is what you do when it comes to civilian deaths in the Occupied Territories. . Then all of a sudden the innocent children killed by Israeli's are "human sheilds" .

Big time dishonesty and deception .. concurrent with pot calling kettle black and raging hypocrisy.

Hi Bill, well not really as he's just making random comments without understanding what he's talking about - you saw his comments on India and China oil uptake which are patently wrong and rather than discuss he just wanted to divert attention by discussing the UK in the 1970s!! The NATO comment above is just one of many; I assume they are just off the cuff remarks but nonetheless misleading and wrong. He's a dilettante who is just dabbling in stuff he doesn't know about.

    oh and by the way...

‘He’ is from the UK, now West Midlands, but originally from Gt. Manchester. I write about social and political science. It’s what I know, it’s what I have experience in. I don’t care about post counts, it’s just that some ‘thoughtful insights’ aren’t and I can spot a lack of knowledge and a reliance on mainstream media when I see it. Russian bot, socialist, stupid … It goes right over my head. It’s a forum; from Ukraine winning the war to Trump is a Nazi and men getting pregnant, it’s all part of it. :) It's not about me though, it's about the topics discussed, so perhaps you'd like to concentrate on those and not the poster?

What is happening in the Ukraine isn’t officially a war and hasn’t been declared one, although we refer to it as such. Russia call it an intervention, NATO calls it an invasion. They’re just terms used.

NATO is staying out of direct military intervention because from there arise the possible beginnings of WW3. If however Russia was to declare it an official war, all the arms supplies and ‘advisors’ would have to stop otherwise that would end NATO neutrality. Currently, I suspect the Russians are annoyed about the volunteers, arms and advisors, but they seem to be accomplishing what they intended despite the interference.

Isn’t it ironic? Eighty years ago we fought against Nazi militias, now we cheer them on!

We? Only the Putin apologists are cheering on the modern nazis/invaders.

You need to step away from the propiganda for a bit.

Which all has more truth than ANY Russian media outlet which can ONLY spew out what Putin wants you to believe.

Ok, you are right. I confused Perun with Duran. My mistake. I do like Perun as it is fact based but Duran is the pro-Russian outlet. We all make mistakes.

Well, that’s the problem, they’re not discussed. There’s usually a bit of tongue sticking out, followed by ‘Putin propagandist.’ When it goes onto Russia invading Iraq, it's when I stop. That’s why I drop out occasionally as I can see it’s going nowhere. If we can vote in someone like Boris, anything after that needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. :)

I’m not up North, I’m Midlands and it’s hot.

You must be in deep..freedom fighters?
Just Ukrainians, defending their nation. I'm sure they got all types of supremacy issues on both sides.

Well ISIS was freedom fighters in Syria when the US armed them, so there's precedent.

It’s what they’re often referred to just as those Islamists who supported the US in the Middle East were termed moderate Islamists. Yes, you could say they’re just ‘defending their nation’, but the Nazi insignia is a dead giveaway. I'm not aware of any Nazi militias on the Russian side.

If Russia went into 'the ukraine' and flatted it like the US/NATO did in Iraq/Syria, etc., hypocrite heads would explode. The Rooskies are tip-toeing around nazis shooting at them from schools, hospitals and apartment buildings. If you're a civilian in ukriane-held areas, you best get your asses away from their artillery. Only war criminals (that's you zelensky/the ukraine) use civilians as human shields. It's pretty damn sick, these nazi apologists/supporters.

So, every time anything to do with Military is mentioned does that mean that it is actually going to happen? Do you think Military is going to announce days and times they are going to launch missiles or troops?

Heck, Russia even said they had no intention of invading Ukraine. So, who is the bigger liar now?

I think Bill Carson is referring to the amount of propaganda here on the forum being cited as fact. There is no big offensive, Ukraine is barely holding on by its fingertips. Did you expect Russia to announce the invasion in advance? :) Sort of, next week Tuesday afternoon guys!

And Russia doesn't view it as an invasion since they haven't mobilized. They are kicking the **** out of Nato-trained nazis/ukieland using a fraction of their forces/DPR and LPR militias.

It’s a sad fact. But you know, in a few years’ time a large minority will still be scratching their heads and wondering why they were fooled by toppling monsters in the Middle East and bringing freedom and democracy (grabbing their oil), Greta’s zero carbon emissions (what green energy), the Covid hysteria (flu) and where all the Nazi militias in Ukraine went (the ones they deny are there). The sad fact is the majority won’t and will have moved on to the latest lost cause. I’m with David Icke on this, it’s all the fault of reptilian aliens. :)

I read somewhere North Korea has offered a hundred thousand volunteers to Russia. Probably not true (?) and I hope not, but imagine that indoctrinated lot coming at you in waves!

This thread is finally appropriate given the collapse of Ukrainian Forces on the Eastern and Southeastern fronts given their advancements from the Bakmut Line to the Avidiivka fortification. If they take the high ground of New York, they can attack from both sides of the river that runs through the Bakmut Fortified Position. Russia will have taken the highest ground and most fortified position east of the Dneiper River. The remains of the Ukrainian Forces are not competently trained soldiers that can mobilize into small groups or scouting parties that the Russians have used to spread the Ukrainian lines across a wide region. The Russian Artillery is essentially holding the Ukrainians behind Rivers and fortifications. Every time the Ukrainians try to advance across the Donbas and near the Dneiper, the VSU suffers massive losses. The whole idea about retaking Kherson would be a nightmare for them whether they win or lose.
