Men faking orgasms

This is a thing. Apparently 1 in 4 men have done this, and it isn't exclusive to women. The question of how the men do it comes to mind.

K. But why?

 

The research did look into why. Top reason is same reason women do it. To make your partner feel like they did a good job.

 

If you do it like a man there is no question.

 

The more pressure on the man, the more likely he will fake it.

 

I think there is far less pressure on the man to fake this.

Most of the man's "performance" does not involve his orgasm.

Evolution/Nature has reasons why the female has to demonstrate this.

 

I think the opposite, except that it's usually easier for men to ejaculate at least (if not orgasm). Thats what for many defines the ending of the sex act. If he doesn't ejaculate, he may feel embarrassed or his partner may feel like they failed.

I only fake it when I'm alone.

 

Boredom and/or alcohol keeping you from getting there. I have done it for both reasons.

 

I'll admit to having done so before, and for the exact reason @Jolly Penguin mentioned. A couple of times, I've realized that I'm just not going to get there, but I don't want to make my partner feel like she's let me down in any way.

 

I do have a question for both men and women reading this thread: if you have ever faked an orgasm, were you ever actually disappointed or were you just protecting your partner's feelings? I've only done so to protect a partner's feelings, and I've never actually felt disappointed in any way.

 

I have faked it when having "phone" sex with prior girlfriends. Not in real sex

I've faked it a few times to protect my partner's feelings. I think it was mostly because I had been working long hours and was exhausted.

 

Probably more so they wouldn't go telling their friends truth be told.

LOL. I recall hearing some comedian one time do a bit about a woman complaining about the size of his organ and he responded that he didn't know it would be playing in Carnegie Hall. Not sure why that came to mind.

Anyway, I am sure there are lots of reasons truth be told. I have a friend who has been known to fake it because he didn't want to miss the start of whatever on TV.
