The Ukrainians, they have a strategy. They'll give Russia a few yards, but bleed them in the process. They're winning a war of attrition. Russia is running out of warm bodies.

The Ukrainians loudly advertised how they'd be throwing everything at Kherson. The Russians fell for it hard, and shifted large numbers of troops into Kherson. The Ukrainians then attacked and advanced near Izyum, where the Russians weren't. Psych!

Now the Russians keep pushing more troops into Kherson, where they'll be cut off. Ukraine has demonstrated they can hit those bridges at will.

That's what happens when an inept fascist dictator micromanages the army, and none of his underlings dare tell him he's an idiot. The Russian commanders are more afraid of Putin than the Ukrainians. DearLeader said that Kherson must be defended at all costs, so the commanders obeyed.

 

There are a far number. Both sides have appealed to far right nationalists as militia members due to man power shortages. That said, the Ukrainian government is in no way "Nazis" as Putin's lying propagandists claim. A very good case can be made that Putin's dictatorship is a fascist government though and, yes, Russians definitely have that element too.

Yes, apart from Biletsky, the Ukrainian government isn’t National Socialist, but they rely on Nazi militias to prop up the army. I don’t think the Russian army is short of manpower, they haven’t even called up national conscription. One Russian shouting he’s a Nazi isn’t the same thing and I think if he did say that, the Russians themselves are going to have a more than a little chat with him.

Israel took out two key Islamic Jihad leaders in Gaza the other day. It's remarkable they were able to identify them through intelligence and target them in the most crowded place on earth with so few 'collateral' casualties. Like how America took out that Al Quaeda leader recently - identifying where he was, the layout of his house, who was in that house at what time of the day etc.. Biden was even given a model of the house to be sure.
Now imagine this was Russia:
Putin would say Gaza is part of Russia, and like Chechnya it must be crushed. This would begin with rolling artillary, missiles and air craft, followed by tanks and infantry. Gaza City (like Grozny) would be flattened - maybe a million dead.

This AlJazerra report indicates that no less that 27 key Russian combat systems either captured by Ukraine intact or recovered damaged from the battlefield have been found to rely on more than 450 key components imported from the West. Without them the systems can't be manufactured. The intelligence recovered in this way is not only being used to refine/re-target the existing sanctions, it also means that Russia's ability to replace its PGM arsenal has been crippled.

The information obtained goes a long way to explaining why Russia has increasingly relied on cold war era weapons from old stockpiles (going back to the 60s) for strikes in Ukraine in recent months. Its literally running out of modern weapon systems.

Thanks to sanctions Russia has been forced to start cannibalizing commercial aircraft in order to keep the rest of its civilian transport fleet flying. (As predicted would happen by many on this forum.) And since modern aircraft components all have numbers and global loaded into global tracking systems it will be next to impossible for Russia to find anyone willing to sell them spares. By the end of the year the domestic carriers will be in serious trouble - and Russian passengers will be very nervous flyers, assuming they can get a seat.

 

Ukraine is being kept alive with finance from the west as its economy collapses. That money is used to buy back weapons from the west (and go into private pockets), but the money won’t keep flowing forever. Eventually the west will stop financing a lost cause. The US and EU will move in to plunder the industries that are left and what’s left of Ukraine will spend the next 20 years paying back the debt. Ukraine was used by the west, it's becoming old news and already the focus is now shifting to Taiwan.

There is exactly one right wing militia in which a minority of members have expressed Nazi sympathies. Also, where have you been? Russia has major manpower issues because legally Putin cannot use conscripts who make up 90%+ of the Russian army. So they can only use volunteers, paid mercenaries, or supposed 3rd party separatist groups (who conscript everyone, all males 16-65, in occupied territories on pain of death). Thus why Putin keeps trying to find foreign fighters.
