Now that's the Trump I've waiting for him to rediscover. This isn't about him, it's about us. What's his plan for the future.

We understand that the these executive agencies are vile and corrupt and need to be fumigated, but, what's the vision and the dream for American Greatness?

The GOP had a good 2020 election and already picked up the marginal seats that are normally added to a wave election total.

The GOP is defending so many seats that retaking the majority is not looking so good. 2024 looks much better.

OF COURSE HE DOES: Pennsylvania Dem John Fetterman Hires Activist That Wants Transgender Surgeries For Children.

"Pennsylvania lieutenant governor John Fetterman’s (D.) campaign for Senate is tapping a far-left activist who has called allowing children to undergo surgical gender transitions a matter of "human rights.""

    Gender mutilation of children.

"Val Arkoosh, a failed Senate candidate, has a history of pushing gender theory. When she was still a candidate for Senate, Arkoosh sent out an email calling a parent’s right to refuse "gender affirming care" for their children a "gross violation of both human rights and the relationship between a patient and their doctor." She also falsely claims that it’s legal to discriminate against transgender individuals in employment."

Great, not only for forcing gender mutilation of children on parents, but she's a liar, too.

"Sixty percent of Americans believe that a person cannot change their gender and a plurality of Americans oppose giving hormone blockers to children. Democratic opposition to parental rights has not worked out well for the party in past elections. Many pundits attribute Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin’s (R.) upset victory in November 2021 to his focus on expanding parental rights."

John Fetterman Basement Tracker: 68 days since Fetterman left his basement.

GOP is 25% bigger than Dems

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

A lot of them are doing quite a bit better than you seemed to anticipate.

RCP is forecasting 29 seat pick up, which builds on their strong 2020 gains. Normally in a mid term the out of power party is snapping back after losing their marginal seats in the previous presidential election, but, in this sequence the GOP didn't lose the marginal seats and already picked up a number of the marginal Dem seats, so gains will not be like the bull whip elections we normally see, but the GOP should have a working House majority. RCP is projecting that the GOP also picks up 3 senate seats and 3 governorships.

You really think that Trump is hurting the GOP more than Biden is hurting the Democrats?
The bookies have it 90-10 GOP.

Any momentum Dems appeared to have got it's head busted open with Biden's insane semi-Nazi Red Speech on 9/1/22 that shocked the nation with it's hateful content. I personally think that Dems could have limited the damage by repudiating it, but, they cheered, so we'll never know.
    Betting odds are 57-47 GOP.
Betters are still looking for Kelly to take this.
    Odds are 89-12 GOP
    88-13 GOP
53-52 Dems with Walker surging and Warnock faltering in the stretch. Show Walker a goal line and he gets a second wind. This one might go into overtime.
    70-28 GOP

You’re half right. America defines National Greatness for the rest of the world. The only thing threatening OUR Greatness is the half you got wrong, tRaitor tRump!

    Nazi's had the Gestapo
    Democrats have the FBI
President Trump was one of the best Presidents in History and when he is re-elected in 2024, the Democratic criminals will hopefully be brought to justice once and foreall for their treasonist crimes against America.

I have never heard any definition of greatness put forth by Trump, any measurable goals for it, nor any proof of a nation in decline. Until someone can show actual evidence of this, I'm not sure his of his point.

TRaitor tRump’s stock in trade is identifying non-problems and claiming himself the ONLY solution.

He could yet show a modicum of “greatness” by admitting he lost a completely fair election and retiring to Mar A Lardass never to be heard from again. If he would do that for our country it would be great.

If the GOP wants to get out the democrat vote in 2024, then they just need to run Trump. Biden barely beat Trump and Biden didn't enthuse anyone. Immagine how bad they could beat Trump if they run someone competent (although I don't know who that would be at the moment). The GOP needs to move on and find someone young, smart, and sensible. Then they'll win in a landslide.

To some degree I agree with this. A lot of people have been brainwashed into an irrational hate of Trump which makes it difficult to run him and win. Running someone else could be better. But the left could create that same irrational hate towards the newbie as well. So who knows.

    This is so transparently facile.
Political manipulation has historically included creating a problem and then saying you will fix it.
The "greatness" he conjures up was in another time. The competitors for the title were smaller European countries who really had no interest in tub thumping, chest beating "greatness".
Today America is up against a growing China, which is a serious competitor for any definition of greatness.
Ťrump will never deliver greatness if he continues to alienate his allies. Already they don't respect him or find any reason to get behind him though they do cooperate when global security is at stake.
The days of global western liberal democracies being held together by one country are gone. Today they commit to a coopérative rules based union which runs on free voluntary association, not threats or manipulation.

As usual this thread has slumped back to a petty snowball fight plus the usual Trump presence .
It would be nice to have a discussion in which he isn't present. He has no power, no ideas other than empty promises, and is a serious threat to an honourable government.
His idea of globalisation is to be able to run the world like his own business and that legacy isn't impressive.

Globalisation and global "greatness" 1is the logical outcome of the corresponding shrinking of the difficulty in transport. It is up to international cooperation to make sure the benefits are not gained at the expense of the weak minorities which copy the model of slavery and exploitation.
Any country which can further this can truly be considered as a candidate for greatness.

~ Like him or not Trump-O is the only one wealthy enough not to be bribed — and strong enough to withstand the pressure of battle with the Capitola Hill cabal. Becoming president is his greatest challenge and biggest sacrifice.
    He must be nuts ...
~ It seems the Democrats are on a self-destruct mission. I don't think they even realize it . :-?'
~ This is true. In America for the last 40 years one side has been much more guilty than the other ...

The Democrats are sloths about taking action and they are far too meek. They've had 2 years to first declare Nazis and white supremacists and their organizations, and "militias" all terrorists. Nazis and white supremacists terrorize Jews and Blacks and other minorities. And the only "militias" allowed to exist should be those that are created, "owned", sanctioned, and managed by states. How much resistance would Manchin and Sinema offer against labeling them "terrorists"?

Once those are identified as "terrorists", they can be banned on penalty of prison time, etc.

But with the militias being armed and trained and organized nuts, the National Guard and other suitable forces need to be fully prepared first.

They actually have a history of slvery and fascism. Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao were all far left wing radicals who got in control and killed millions of people while starting wars and genocide against their own citizens. If you can read a history book then you should. Democrats sorbid past isn't something to brag about.

We can have Trump-like policies without Trump. In all honesty, he triggers the left so hard that I'm certain they will just cheat again. I really think the right needs to play the race game and throw someone in there that is not white that has the same policies as Trump (which were just common sense and logical policies, most of them anyway)

    Hitler? "left-wing"? LMAO!
Nazism is a right wing ideology. It is violently racist, anti-socialist, and it targets the political left for extermination. This is underscored by Albert Einstein's embrace of socialism throughout his life -- and in particular in his 1949 essay, Why Socialism? -- along with the fact that Einstein's name was included on a nazi death list with a bounty of $50,000 offered for his assassination. If nazism really is socialism, why would Einstein have identified himself as a socialist a scant four years after WWII?
The current right wing conflation of nazism and the left is sleazy. A more informed population would view this as completely idiotic, but unfortunately this propaganda is becoming increasingly effective.
