    True? Not true? Bit of Russian bragging? An attempt to muddy waters and throw some confusion int the waters?
    To be honest I think if they really had those documents they would not be telling anyone

    Probably. They seem to get caught doing that a lot.
    But not always.
    What if proof comes out that copies of some of the documents that Trump had wound up in the hands of the Russians?
    Do you think it's possible that if Trump had some documents that compromised the US, he could have bragged about them or shown them to someone he deemed trustworthy, but turned out to be a Russian or Chinese agent who photographed them secretly?
    Remember, Trump is smarter than all the security, millitary, and all other experts in the world.
    He is easily duped.

    If Russia had secret documents, why would they advertise it which would allow us to change our strategy?

    I feel sorry for anyone who believe this story. Plus it’s apparent that Trump is not Putin’s puppet, if he was they wouldn’t hang him out and kill their source of info.

    Once again, I feel deeply sorry for anyone who believes this story.

    As I said as a result of the haphazard Crossfire Hurricane. Comey gave Russia a great gift. Expect claims like this to continue, not only about anything Trump has done, but anything future candidates will do. Since we showed the Russians that it's not necessary for it to be a fact, but just a rumor. And we saw what a GREAT job our intelligence community does at sifting fact from fiction.

    Trump was foolish enough to give up national security information on his first foreign visitors when he was elected. My confidence isn't high that he wouldn't do it again.

    C'mon man. If the Russians had a former POTUS feeding them classified Intel, they absolutely wouldn't thank him by publishing it in the freaking press. Especially if they thought he might be POTUS again.

    Do you think if trump gave classified Intel to Russia, that Russia would benefit from keeping that quiet if trump became POTUS again? They absolutely would. They have no reason to make that public other than to hurt Trump's chances of being POTUS again. None.

    I don’t believe the story but …

    If trump is correct and he declassified all the documents that were seized (I haven’t seen that on news reports but that is what some people on this board are claiming), then none of those documents are secret. They are declassified and they should be made available to the public. Which means Russia (and China and Iran and North Korea etc) will also be able to see them.

    Do you think that’s a good idea?
