It is democrats who are rounding up their political enemies, trying them in prime time kangaroo courts just before the midterms, and jailing them. They are also guilty of trying to suppress over 70 million voters from voting for Trump. Talk about vote suppression! Why not let the voters vote? Media is a product that will always sell what people are eager to consume. You gave them a good story, people tuned in, and advertisers paid them for the exposure. They use that money to fund their lobbying efforts and use their reach for political purposes.

Personally, I do not watch the news. When I started going to the gym, they had the news playing on screens on every wall.

I've made the point many times that environmentalists have lost middle class support because their fixes put too much of the burden on lower- and middle-income folks. We could force rich folks to sacrifice ... limit maximum home sizes to 5000 sq. ft., put a 500% tax on corporate jets, etc.

 

We weren't lobbying the school board—it was understood by all we were outright trying to get rid of extremist board members. Fighting the garbage dump involved scaring the pols, encouraging them to change their position without any penalty for their earlier stance.
