......revelation from the National Archives that Trump had possession of 700+ classified docs. Some of which were highly classified. Or maybe they'd be talking about the danger in Ukraine with the nuclear power plant. Or the primaries in FL and NY. Nope.

They were, instead, covering another story crucial to all Americans. Video of Nancy Pelosi's husband being arrested for a DUI was being shown. That's an improvement from the last time I tuned in to Faux, Carlson's show, as he was pimping his special on disemboweled cattle........"Cattle Mutilations."

It's all essential viewing.

Archives told Trump in April that FBI would examine more than 100 classified documents returned from Mar-a-Lago

Former president Donald Trump returned more than 100 classified documents, comprising more than 700 pages, to the National Archives in January, according to a letter released by the Archives on Tuesday.

Acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall also notified Trump’s lawyer Evan Corcoran that the agency would provide the FBI access to 15 boxes of materials in order to investigate “whether those records were handled in an unlawful manner" and conduct an assessment to determine if any damage might have resulted from the improper handling of materials, according to the May 10 letter.

The more than 100 documents turned over in January were among the materials in 15 boxes of records recovered by the Archives from the former president’s Mar-a-Lago club earlier this year, after nearly a year of back and forth over missing presidential documents between Trump’s legal team and the agency charged with preserving the nation’s federal records.

I actually watched some Fox News today. They covered Pelosi DUI. And Ukraine, the 350 billion in “green energy” guarantees Biden has started (Solyndra times 2000), the letter from the archives about the Trump documents, the lantern fly plague affecting US crops, and a couple other items.

Maybe you just are very “selective” in what you post here. Agenda maybe?

Trump was President. He legally had access to all those documents. Big deal if he kept them. Besides, they were declassified military secrets.

The FBI wasn't looking for those documents. They were looking for documents that would exonerate Trump for Russiagate to destroy those documents. They fear that Trump secretly had proof of his innocence all along.

 

Pelosi's DUI was their lead story on a very busy actual news day. My position on Faux is well understood here. They serve up right wing propaganda.

Sorry they didn't cover what you wanted during the short time you viewed it. They have covered everything you mention in your post even the silly obsession with Paul Pelosi. Fox News is the only one of the cable news channels that covers both sides of every issue. I think that may explain why it wipes all the others in the ratings.

 

It was the lead story on "Jesse Waters Primetime". That is an editorial program. If you had watched an hour earlier, you could have seen a wide range of news stories on "Special Report with Bret Baier" including the Trump classified documents story.

They reported it and moved on until the LW media who've turned the story into a continual loop of "Oh, boy, we got him THIS time" blather

 

The dispute over whether the documents were actually declassified, along with whether or not he, as a former president, had the right to take them, are the reasons why this is definitely going to end up at the Supreme Court.

I'm not a lawyer, and I've got no idea how this will be ruled on -- but -- at least the issue will surely be decided much more fairly by the Supreme Court than it would be by the Democrat-dominated House and Senate, which, of course, hates Donald Trump's guts... and always has.

One thing everyone should be keenly aware of -- if Trump is ruled against by the Supreme Court on this issue, he is thoroughly FINISHED in the government arena. But, if he is vindicated and found to have acted within his legitimate 'sphere of action' as a president AND a former-president, he will emerge more powerful than ever!

And, bear in mind that although it takes the Supreme Court almost FOREVER to decide anything, even after all the length of time it takes for anything to make it to the Supreme Court, it is a long damned way to 2024...!
