Here's some truth for you.
.. the Bible says judge not lest thee be judged thine own self.

And I like to say why wait until you die and go to heaven or hell to be judged when you can be judged right here on Earth by your fellow man?

 

Wich already happens so judge away. Try to insure that judgments are truthful and accurate.

 

I just thought since so many of you progressive liberals love to quote the Bible so often you would remember the part where it says not to judge your fellow man.

 

So you want us die, because that's what would happen if we can't make judgments about other people.

 

So how do you meet this requirement? Do you give to kings "Politicians" in the form of taxation and accepting this is your contribution to the sick and needy of this world? Or do personal tithe to an organization that helps the poor and sickly in your community? The problem Matthew 25:31 is that people thing "Like everything today" they can simply pay a premium "Via taxation levied by kings and trusted to help the NEEDY" and that buys them a seat in the afterlife

There is far more Matthew 25:31 than just a monetary end, maybe like take in a homeless, bath them, feed them, maybe work a kitchen or deliver prepared meals or deliver food around town to folks that are no longer mobile..

Doing of that? Are you even part of a congregation? Today is Sunday, and the Catholic Church is having an all you can eat pancake event and all the proceed go to the needy here. wanna help? If not that, there is a biker charity poker run today and all those proceeds are going to the disabled vets, how about that?

Giving from the heart and hand is what the bible teaches, not "Hey, I think my tax's go to help the needy"

 

Your way of thinking is kind of awkward.
There are lot of black people that are rich and wealthy without any needs.
Why should poor white subsidize them?
Unless you did not know, race based discrimination is unconstitutional and illegal.

 

That's not the way it works.

We have representative democracy at federal, state and local levels. They design and vote on plans that address known problems.

Catholic Charities is great. They do good work. But, they do NOT have the ability to find and evaluate all need and they do not have the funds to solve the problems people face, either. So, they do what they can, but it is not a solution.

For example, what do the people at your pancake event do on the NEXT day? How far do people come - that is, what is the physical range of the help? How are the infirm transported to the event? How many of the attendees have real need, since you provide no screening or rules, such as what government assistance programs require.

The solution has to cover America and it has to be constant, as people can't just hope there will be another charity event somewhere they can get to.

I'm also very in favor of individual aid. But, once again, people in need have to eat every day, not whenever some good person happens to run across them and chooses to donate.

Finally, we see people asking for donations on the street, etc., but you have no way to evaluate their actual need. Are you feeding their drug habit? Are you helping them to not get a job?
