I didn’t notice in my news. All I got was a black guy that stole an suv and a 2 year old died when he abandoned it, 2 more shot people in a home invasion, 2 who threatened to shoot their high school, one who shot another woman holding a baby, and 2 who pretended to help rescue dogs but left them in a trailer to die. Oh, and 3 Hispanic people murdered a waitress and a white guy who kidnapped his girlfriend before getting shot.
Pretty much the usual week.

 

Drunk driver runs over someone and tries to come up with some sort of pathetic self-defense claim.

 

Oh no, I'm not letting President Tin Can off the hook that easily. Said murderer called the 18 year old a "Republican extremist". Now considering the dude was in the safety of his vehicle, his defense doesn't fly at all and hopefully there's video footage of how this scumbag came to murder the young man.

But more importantly, the President of the US put fellow Americans in those stark terms, something I insist Trump never did. 2024 and an election of a new nominee to replace this old coot whose divided Americans worse than Trump.

I doubt it, but if he did would our Left friends be as up in arms as they were during the Trump years?(I argue that clemency and pardoning should only be used on offenders who clearly either did their time and are remorseful or offenders who were overtly punished for small crimes, ie: I think we need to legalize prostitution and a federal legalization of marijuana is something I've backed for years.

I know for those on the right, this may be off-putting but I'm very socially 'liberal' while being fiscally conservative.

I'm glad you aren't drinking the Jan 6th kool aid. I don't think its a fair comparison. Trump didn't say "Capitol Police are a THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY". Biden did basically authorize the killing of all maga republicans. I believe even though this man was definitely 100% incited by Joe Biden, that he still has to assume responsibility for his OWN actions. This gives INCITEMENT a whole new meaning and sorry to say, if there is a witch hunt for Trumps way more minor words, this is 100% INCITEMENT and investigation worthy (the left set the precedent on this. no going back now!)

I have not heard anything from Trump in a long time or seen any of his recent speeches. I derived this ALL ON MY OWN when the President said that Maga Republicans (interpreted as any republican because he didn't define what they are), are a "THREAT TO DEMOCRACY".
If I was around people that were a "THREAT TO DEMOCRACY", I'd be nervous as well and might have to overreact in "self defense".
