That wasn't the Queen's funeral. It was the funeral of the British Monarchy (IMHO). It's the inevitable final result of "purifying" white culture shielding it from diversity.

Wow I was right! Your question was ridiculous, and you were actually serious about it!

Let's start from the beginning. You made the claim that discussion should be based on data and facts. @Pycckia took you up on your challenge and posted this:

He stated an opinion based on data, which you should have loved, but instead your response was your opinion, not based on facts or evidence or research, the exact opposite of how you claimed discussions should be held. A point that I reiterated in my response:

    upload_2022-9-22_17-11-51.png

Here you decided to delete almost all my reply and that's when you asked your ridiculous question.

    upload_2022-9-22_17-15-4.png

...which of course I ignored because we were never even having that discussion. I didn't even say I agreed with the conclusions of the study. The point was, you wanted a discussion based on evidence and facts, @Pycckia provided that to have a discussion on your terms, and you ignored that and are now attacking the argument, NOT based on facts or evidence, but by trying to make up some scenario involving ethnic cleansing and forced relocation?

Ridiculous. I think you've given a master class demonstration on why the OP's hope is in vain, since you can't even accept your own premise for a discussion.

PS- There have been upteen diversity threads on this forum and if you really want to discuss that, you can bring one of those from the dead or start a new one. I love the topic but the topic of this thread was supposed to be about how Democrats and Republicans can get along, and the suggestion that you offered you don't even really believe in.

Let's not. Just answer the question, if you can.

If you agree with the poster's "soluton", tells us how you do it. How do you "purify" (I don't recall the exact term, but something to that effect) the "white race"

Unless, of course, you DON'T think that ethnic groups (or what racists call "races") should be segregated or isolated or .... I don't know... "disposed" of (?). Whatever solution to the problem the poster's study poses you think is appropriate. Just tell us how.

My solution: keep teaching kids tolerance (we already started.... despite headwinds from the governor of Florida)

Too much nonsense when all you need to do is answer a simple question. Or not answer if you realize you don't HAVE an answer. Nobody will even notice if you don't answer (wink wink... I will...).

No one cares about your "solution" because that's not the issue at hand, that's your desperate flaying about trying to avoid the embarrassment of posting a basis for discussion that you melted away from the very first time it was pointed out. Since I never even made an in opinion about the poster's study, I don't owe you any answer on your desperate attempt to change the subject from your own inability to follow your own guidance.

So a Shinto ceremony, or an Inuit hunting ritual, or a Tibetan sky burial, or an African Shaman dance .. all such things are a 'result of purifying cultures and shielding them from diversity"?

Help me understand, because you're not making any sense.

Race is not behaviour. Therefore it's irrelevant when discussing social cohesion. Social cohesion is a result of behaviour. When behaviour is aligned, social cohesion exists. When behaviour is not aligned, no cohesion can exist.

If you think diversity means immutables (like skin tone, or height, or any other physical attribute), then your understanding of this entire thing is absent.

That's ridiculous. No parent wants their kids to be so 'open-minded' that they lack all discernment.

Parents will teach their kids to be discriminatory towards someone or something, always. Again .. it's a survival tactic. Mammalian instinct you can't erase.

I have no idea what those are the result of, or what relevance that might have in this discussion

You mentioned an ancient cultural tradition (in this case a European state funeral), and suggested that such things are an effort to shield those cultures from diversity.

Please explain that, in light of such an odd belief.

Right. So now explain what YOU mean by 'diversity'.

Also teach kids that the ONLY thing we should never tolerate is intolerance. Hopefully there will be instances in which public education can compensate for any racism parents teach their children. And, if they can't, society will teach them the HARD way when they grow up. In the end, we WILL have a tolerant society.

This is not hypothetical. It's happening NOW! And more effectively than I would have thought when i was in school.

You need to quote what it is you're referring to, when you want to comment about something I said.

What diversity is is not controversial, as far as I know. If you want to start an argument about what the meaning of "is" is, count me out.

Apparently, a large number of grassroots Democrats think that Republicans should win control of Congress In November. Despite the fact that Republican administrations have a history of recessions, these Democrats think Republicans can do a better job with the economy and our President has only 43% approval, which is a large improvement over a few weeks ago.

In addition, these grassroots Democrats disapprove of the Democratic President running again.

I say all this based on the logic that grassroots Democrats are a part of the polling and the low approval rating of Democrats by Democrats will insure a Republican victory in November.

CNN reports, "President Joe Biden insists that he hasn’t made up his mind whether to run for a second term. But the public sure has.

"Almost three in four Americans (72%) said that they do not want Biden to run again in 2024, according to a new national Marquette Law School poll released on Thursday, a striking number – especially when you consider that Biden’s approval rating in the same poll was relatively solid (for him) at 45%.

"It’s not then that large swaths of the American public think Biden is doing a terrible job and want him out. It’s just that people – across the political spectrum – don’t want him to run again in two years’ time. (Obviously, Biden's age is a factor in all this.)

"Among Biden’s Democratic base, his numbers on the question are middling, with 52% saying he should run again and the other 48% saying he should not.

"Polls conducted over the summer from CNN and the New York Times/Siena College found that large majorities of Democrats wanted the party to nominate someone other than Biden for president in 2024.

That is not exactly a strong endorsement for Democrats when control of Congress is at stake.

On the other hand, the polling question is loaded. Joe Biden will be 82 years old come November 2024. What is a grassroots Democrat supposed to say when asked if Biden should run again?

I voted for Biden and I don't want him to run again.

Going into mid-terms it is an unfair question to ask, but the answers will make headlines.

Absurd. Children should be raised to be discriminatory. They should absolutely be 'intolerant' of negative behaviours. That's even more crucial in the teenage years.

Schools are once again compromised by ideology .. just as they were by religion in the 20thC. It's regression. Public schools must be entirely neutral, without any ideology whatsoever. Whether political or religious, it's ideology which is the problem. It creates LESS tolerance, not more.
