In the farmer's defense, they provide a product that allows you to live. Universities provide a product that castrates children and calls people with penises women. Don't mind paying taxes to create food, do mind paying taxes to create dangerous clowns.

So free money is fine as long as you agree with its use?

I would prefer my taxpayer dollars and the taxes both of my companies go to paying for education so that we can find new ways to progress society forward.

So just think of it as your taxes are going to yours and mine is going to mine. Feel better?

Translation: I want to trans your kids. I want your tax dollars to pay for their indoctrination into the dysgenic kinks of misanthropes. I want them to be your enemy and I want to use the government to accomplish this mission. The biggest reasons for the rise of Nazi party in Weimar Germany was a reaction to people with your worldview. Read a history book. The authoritarian left are creating and empowering their own enemy with their divergence from reality and embrace of insanity.

I 100% want them to be the enemy of the Christian Fascist Nationalists that have rapidly came out of the closet so to speak. I want the entire nation to be their enemy and looking at polling it appears to be trending in that direction. I believe those people are the largest threat this nation has faced in a while.

I don’t care if they are trans but if that is what makes them happy then I support them in that as well.

I don't buy your math at all. You seem to be saying that a $300,000 house will generate over $10,000 in property taxes per year.

It's worth noting that economists have successfully predicted 13 of the last 5 recessions.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

That can be nothing depending on the location and of course the ebb and flow of commerce in the area. Taxes are not one big pool, especially property taxes. My property tax bill identifies to the penny how they are allotted, ours are heavy on the education expense. Other areas in the nation, require grants and assigned monies from state legislatures, those come from a state pool and some federal.

In NJ we also pay for our own roads, we do tolling, so we also don't federal funds because of that.

BTW, this is not a liberal thing, it is strictly financial.

Well my point is that this is not a middle class issue. Property taxes exceeding $10,000 are an issue for rich people. So if you are wanting to get rid of the cap, it's going to benefit the rich, not the middle class.

You may want to read this article from today even. :)

    https://news.yahoo.com/whatever-happened-starter-home-142406450.html
Nationwide, the small detached house has all but vanished from new construction. Only about 8% of new single-family homes today are 1,400 square feet or less. In the 1940s, according to CoreLogic, nearly 70% of new houses were that small.

Remember what I said about 1st time buyers.

Today in some parts of the country there is hardly anything on the market for under $300,000 resembling the American starter home of the past 70 years.
    ....
The starter home has always done a lot of work. It builds equity, creates stability, gives shelter from landlords and inflation. It has been an incubator of small businesses and community institutions like day care centers.

OK I think we are talking about different things. I thought you were talking about the SALT deduction and you are talking about starter homes. Good luck in your home purchase.

Interestingly enough, you didn't have to be a Democrat to benefit from the college loan forgiveness.

Trump signed two stimulus packages that put money in my bank account. Did it make me want to vote for him and Republicans? Not even a little. On the flip side, Biden signed a stimulus package too. Do you think it flipped a bunch of people to vote Democrat who wouldn't have otherwise?

This is a fun trope to make posts about and use as the basis for snarky internet comments, but it's effect in real life is hardly a guarantee.

No, I am including 1st time home buyers that use the tax deduction to help them. SALT makes that almost completely ineffective and as the article points out, is everywhere in the nation, not just the upper class.

“US housing recession could send home prices tumbling 20%, economist says“

Time to free up some cash and get ready to buy real estate. If the price drops 20% my least appreciated property will be worth twice what I paid for it. 8)

My side? My side knows that it is not within the powers of congress or the POTUS to have the productive taxpayers pay off loans of others

No, the article talked about land prices and permitting costs. It didn't say anything about SALT. Or if it did, I totally missed it. Could you highlight the part mentioning the SALT Deduction?

Look at the prices of homes, then compare to average salaries, especially the younger, then do the math. !!!!!
I've already explained how SALT affects them, the article was used to bolster my argument.

    It is that simple !!!!

OK, you've made your point, or think you have, and I admit I'm not following it at all, so sorry. I just don't get your point.

DOW'S DOWN 20% combined with the housing crash this is $Trillions wiped out of households by BIDEN/DEMS reckless destructive policies. None of this had to happen.

Democrats are in far, far more trouble than they think:

    • 'Joe Biden is at 39% approval
    • Registered voters–who skew Democrat generally–prefer Republicans by 1 point
    • Likely voters–a more balanced group usually–prefer Republicans by as much as 5 points. That is blowout territory
    • Only 35% of Democrats/Democrat leaners want Joe Biden to run again.
    • Trump could beat Biden despite the fact that 52% of voters think Trump should be charged with crimes. Voters who think Trump is a criminal would still vote for him over Biden!
    • Biden’s approval on the economy is at 37% (and of those 90% are probably lying)
    • Inflation and the economy are at the top of voters’ minds, and Republicans dominate trust on this issue.'
