Pro-abortion folks always want to define what is or isn't a human life. This is misleading and an attempt to justify killing innocent human life by dehumanizing unborn babies.

It doesn't matter when there is a heartbeat. It doesn't matter what the unborn baby is called because no matter the state the baby is representative of innocent human life......period!

The issue isn't "a woman's choice" or "it isn't really a human". The issue is how much respect do we have for innocent human life. The pro-abortion folks have very little respect for innocent human life.

''In which week post conception does the cardiovascular system begin to develop?

As embryonic folding starts, the two endocardial tubes are pushed into the thoracic cavity, where they begin to fuse together, and this is completed at about 22 days. At around 18 to 19 days after fertilisation, the heart begins to form.''

The Texas Abortion Ban Hinges On 'Fetal Heartbeat.' Doctors Call That Misleading

"When I use a stethoscope to listen to an [adult] patient's heart, the sound that I'm hearing is caused by the opening and closing of the cardiac valves," says Dr. Nisha Verma, an OB-GYN who specializes in abortion care and works at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

The sound generated by an ultrasound in very early pregnancy is quite different, she says.

"At six weeks of gestation, those valves don't exist," she explains. "The flickering that we're seeing on the ultrasound that early in the development of the pregnancy is actually electrical activity, and the sound that you 'hear' is actually manufactured by the ultrasound machine."

That's why "the term 'fetal heartbeat' is pretty misleading," says Dr. Jennifer Kerns, an OB-GYN and associate professor at the University of California, San Francisco.

"What we're really detecting is a grouping of cells that are initiating some electrical activity," she explains. "In no way is this detecting a functional cardiovascular system or a functional heart."

You are basically dehumanizing an innocent unborn baby in order to justify killing it. You argument of whether an innocent unborn baby is actually a human doesn't matter. Whatever state it is in is representative of innocent human life.

Thanks for the lesson on human development but no matter the state an unborn baby is representative of an innocent human life. The question is how much respect does society have for innocent human life.

So what? It is representative of a human heart. Why do we have laws that are so contradictory? There are animals that have eggs protected by law. Even though the egg is not a fully developed animal it is still protected by law.

The state of an unborn baby is irrelevant. It is still representative of innocent human life. Why would you argue to snuff out innocent human life?

...Remarkably, the research team found that the most dramatic changes occurred over a four-day period 124 days into the pregnancy. Within this brief period, the muscle tissue of the heart rapidly organizes. Cardiac fibers were laid down to form the helix shape of the heart, within which the four chambers of the heart form. Without this essential architecture in place, the fetal heart cannot survive outside the womb.

The investigators noted that there was an incredible level of consistency around the fact that this phase of the heart's development started between the 16- and 17-week point, precisely at 124 days into pregnancy. Additionally, the team also identified a possible mechanism involved in heart development. During the critical four-day period, they found increased levels of two proteins: connexin 40 and connexin 43.

But why stop there? A newborn baby cannot walk therefore it cannot survive on its own. Are you saying newborns should be killed as well?

Well I don't believe the bible but

"After God formed man in Genesis 2:7, He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.

In Job 33:4, it states: “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Again, to quote Ezekiel 37:5&6, “Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

In Exodus 21:22 it states that if a man causes a woman to have a miscarriage, he shall be fined; however, if the woman dies then he will be put to death. It should be apparent from this that the aborted fetus is not considered a living human being since the resulting punishment for the abortion is nothing more than a fine; it is not classified by the bible as a capital offense."

Sure wish the right cared as much about the living as they do the fetus

I don't know what you are trying to say by quoting the Bible but whatever.

I sure wish lefties were consistent on protecting life. If you destroy loggerhead turtle eggs it is illegal but lefties want to kill unborn babies.

Most disgusting reactions to Zimmerman acquittal
Conservatives celebrate, race-bait and taunt in the wake of news that Trayvon Martin's killer will walk free

    @AnnCoulter
    Hallelujah!

Steve King • House Representative, Iowa-R
"The evidence didn't support prosecution, and the Justice Department engaged in this. The president engaged in this and turned it into a political issue that should have been handled exclusively with law and order."

THE STATE OF FLORIDA PROSECUTED THIS CASE

    National Review editors
"To their credit, the jurors appear to have decided the case strictly on the facts, which gave them no choice other than to acquit Zimmerman, despite the long campaign of defamation against him outside the courtroom."

Ted Nugent wrote, “The jury got it right, and non-racist America rejoices.”

Rush Limbaugh described the verdict as if tallying a scoreboard: “The progressives, the liberals out there are having a little temper tantrum because they didn’t get their way. But really, folks, how often are they on the losing end of anything anymore? They’re getting gay marriage, they got Obamacare, they’ve got Obama….This verdict is not part of a string of defeats for the left. It is an interruption in a string of victory after victory.”

    John R. Lott , | Fox News
We never should have witnessed a Zimmerman trial

YES........................changes happen later......................SO WHAT? Your cite does not say no heart exist before or the beating begins after the 124 days, it only targets the phase when fetal heart develops the 4 chambers.

It is STILL the primordial heart stage which begins beating at 5-6 weeks

The heart of an embryo starts to beat from around 5–6 weeks of pregnancy. Also, it may be possible to see the first visible sign of the embryo, known as the fetal pole, at this stage.

The heart of a fetus is fully developed by the 10th week of pregnancy. Learn more about the development of the heart from weeks 5–10 below:

Embryology of the Conduction System for the Electrophysiologist
Sultan Mirzoyev,1 Christopher J McLeod, MB, ChB, PhD,2 and Samuel J Asirvatham, MD2,3,4

.....The tubular primordial heart is formed during early cardiogenesis from the fusion of two endothelial strands of cardiac mesoderm [8]. Each strand is continuous cranially with a dorsal aorta (the outflow tract), and caudally with a vitteloumbilical vein (the inflow tract). This cylindrical structure subsequently loops and segmentally dilates, hence forming the segments, the basis of the cardiac chambers. After looping, several segments exist and are connected at 'transitional zones' [9]. The sinus venosus, which forms the venous inflow chamber, the ventricular inlet segment, and the outlet segments ultimately septate and divide to form the AV valves and outflow tracts of the mature heart. This combination of tubular growth, looping, and expansion of the cavitary myocardium, is the basic initiating step [1] and like all steps in the developing organism is driven by a cascade of regulatory genes and transcription factors. It is important to note that concurrent with the basic chamber development, separate transcription factors simultaneously coordinate the development of the cardiac conduction system [10]. The first indication of cardiac contraction occurs around 23 days after conception in the human and peristalsis of the tubular heart [11]. Primitive coordinated and sequential chamber contraction occurs soon after looping of the heart and is subsequently initiated by the primordial atrium which acts as the interim pacemaker of the heart. Following that, the sinus venosus adopts this function, finally to be usurped by the sinoatrial node develops during the fifth week [12].

During the first and second month of embryonic development, continued looping of the heart moves the ventricles inferior to the atria, and atrial and ventricular septa begin to form.

Your doctor is not a embryologist

"The heart and circulatory system of a fetus begin to form soon after conception. By the end of the fifth week, the heart of the fetus is able to pump blood throughout its body. "

I didn't mention a fetus; I mentioned a human. I'm not sure why you didn't realize that or why you believe this post makes any sense whatsoever. But, good work deflecting from the absurdity of your previous post by outmatching it with this one.

Yes electrical stimulation at 5-6 weeks, NOT a heartbeat say doctors who are honest
