'Democratic politics is about criminalizing opposition'

…After The Prospect managing editor Ryan Cooper complained about Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz not being indicted with in a sex-trafficking probe, Greenwald, co-founder of The Intercept, responded with his criticism.

"Chickens*** club," Cooper tweeted.

Greenwald replied in a retweet: "This is a perfect illustration of how authoritarian so many Democrats are.

"This Democrat doesn't know or care why career DOJ prosecutors decided the evidence was insufficient to prosecute Matt Gaetz. What he knows is that Gaetz supports Trump and thus wants him imprisoned:

"I can't stress this enough: at its core, Democratic politics is about criminalizing opposition to their party and ideology. Dissenting ideas are 'disinformation' and must be censored by Big Tech. Trump voters are inherently criminal ('insurrectionists') and should be imprisoned."…

The author is exactly right. He is calling out the democrat party. It’s leaders are the polar opposite of tolerance for diversity of ideas and getting along with people who believe and think differently than they do.

 

So, I don't like this method but it seems to be working. Biden got elected out of Trump hate for example. I think the bigger problem is why don't the democrat voters seem to care about POLICIES that affect their lives and wallets?

 

Joe Biden is complicit in this as well. He’s abandoned his fake national unity front for an all out targeting and objectifying of his domestic opposition. He is a full on authoritarian fascist.

 

Some do care and have walked away from the democrat party over their extreme positions on the issues and their hostility to former parts of their coalition such as the working class and Hispanic Americans.

 

There are those on the left here saying that doesn't matter he is still guilty and they know it that all that means is there was not enough evidence to convict him. That even thought the DOJ stated that the accuser and other main witness WERE NOT CREDIBLE.

 

It’s not just him though. The secular progressive urban elitists are trying to criminalize all of us who dare stand up to them and propose alternative ideas and beliefs. Democrats have been trying to criminalize differences over policy since Reagan was President, since Trump though they have become openly blatant about it.
