I'll resist the temptation to return your oh-so kind and 'respectful' commentary, Bill, because the situation we face (FACE) now is so dangerous that we must be realistic, looking at things as they really are... not what we imagine them to be.

When you mash all the bullshit and propaganda out of this whole "Ukraine" thing (and there's 'cubic-MILES' of it, on both sides), everything at this point boils down to one (ONE) thing: if Putin -- in HIS own mind, with HIS own perceptions, feels that he has to engage in nuclear all-out war with NATO (obviously, including the United States), or, see Russia lose the power, prestige, and position it achieved prior to this "Ukraine" thing, what would he do...? I am convinced that he would "push the button", Bill, even though it seems certain that you do not believe it.

Please understand, I'm not trying to assert any 'talking points' about who's right and who's wrong in any part of this rotten situation. No... but when Putin came out with threats of nuclear war, my attention became greatly refined so that it focuses tightly on one thing: what will Putin do...? I've read quite a LOT about the man, Bill, and if you have, too, there shouldn't be any doubt in your mind -- Putin would certainly start a nuclear World War III in order to protect and defend his beloved Mother Russia... the "Rodina". All of our actions going forward must be predicated upon an accurate, firm understanding of that axiom as it applies to Vladimir Putin.

And those who sympathize with Russia will tell you that it was the Kiev 'power-bloc' and its wealthy Ukrainian oligarchs who committed murders and other atrocities on the ethnic Russians who lives in the eastern part of the country, loosely what we know as 'the Donbass'.

What I'm saying is that AT THIS POINT, the complexion of the whole thing changed for the U. S. and all the other NATO countries -- after Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons! From this point onward, we must (MUST) prepare for the almost certain likelihood that we will be engaged in a no-bullshit World War III within a year from now, and act accordingly. I do not doubt for one moment that Putin would "press the button" if he really does believe that his dear "Mother Russia" is being threatened by anyone. If anything I've read about him for several years is true, then there's no doubt in my mind about THAT.

The US has the ability to end this today. Biden must be the one to do it. He must negotiate peace. The deal should be:

    We give:

    1. Total withdrawal of US/NATO forces in Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Bosnia/Herzegovina, and any other Balkans we are in except Greece.

    2. Significant withdrawal of US/NATO forces in Lithuania but all anti-missile defensive weapons remain.

    3. Moderate reduction of US/NATO forces in Poland with all defensive weapons remaining.

    4. Russia gets integrated back into world economy.

    5. Conditional on the compliance with negotiations, Russia gets its pipeline in 3 years.

    6. Russian troops can remain in the Crimean region that was occupied prior to the 2022 invasion.

    7. Promise that Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, or any country east thereof, will not join NATO.

    8. Withdrawal of Swedish and Finnish applications to NATO, with a fastrack process for joining in place, to employ contingent upon observation of Russian troop movements.

    Russia gives:

    1. Withdrawal of all Russian forces to positions prior to 2022, except the Donbas region, in which the withdrawal can be delayed for 3 months until a UN peacekeeping force can replace them.

    2. Void the current referendums in the Donbas and accept a UN peacekeeping force (made up of non-Western countries) there to maintain stability, control immigration from both sides, and ensure fair referendums in 1 year.

    3. Some, but not crippling, reparations to Ukraine.

    4. A withdrawal from Kherson region, and a guarantee of no hindrance to Ukrainian access to the sea.

    5. A discrete promise to assist the US in the prevention of Iran ever acquiring a nuclear weapon, and if our efforts fail, a promise to turn a blind eye to US or Israeli military action to stop it.

It's not a great deal for the West. That's what happens when you screw up policy for so long. Learn from it; regroup. It's not appeasement, as I would continue to build up a military presence in the areas of Europe not included in the negotiations, (basically fall back to a UK/Germany/Spain triangle), and NATO commanders would be on notice to be ready for massive retaliation eastbound, depending on Russia's compliance with negotiations.

That's a start, as obviously there will be many more aspects to this negotiation. I would see if Xi would back off support of Russia for a specified time, then lean back toward them before Putin really starts to feel isolated, and come in on their side in negotiations.

Well, everyone can't be racially pure like Western Ukraine.

Okay so tell me, other than joining the SS and massacring the "untermenchen" Poles in Western Ukraine so they could grab their land and the city of Lviv, what are the great accomplishments of Western Ukraine? Give me a list of their great composers, philosophers, writers, scientists, etc. Make sure though that they were from Western Ukraine and spoke your Ukrainian dialect, and were not bastardized by inferior Russian influence?

Anyway, I'm not smearing Ukraine, I'm looking at the inferior culture that they want to impose on the Russian people in Ukraine.

Putin was responding to Zalensky's nuclear terrorism on the nuclear power plant with Nato weapons and that was being ignored by Washington. Also when a high official threatened Russia with a nuclear attack, Putin said that Russia also has weapons and many are superior to the ones in the US, and they will use them if the Russian nation and people are threatened. Of course Putin's complete statement was never mentioned by Blinken or the MSM. I heard it on the Duran.

On Oct. 1st, 4 areas of Ukraine will become Russian territory and the people will be Russian citizens. That includes the nuclear plant that Ukraine is attacking, so Putin is giving fair warning of what Russia's response might be if the attacks continue.

Only Russia will recognize their own sham referendum. No other country in the world will. Thus, just some more lies and propaganda.

    Since you :
1- show by your words attempting to denigrate Ukraine by calling Ukrainian culture “inferior” you are at best a Russian chauvinist. Talking with you is like talking to the NAZI Gobbels about Jews who contributed to German culture , industry, science. Einstein mean anything to you.
2- I have said before there were NAZI collaborators and sympathizers in every European country. I never denied that there were some Ukrainians who took revenge on Poles for the occupation between the wars. Of course that was wrong. Some even blaimed Jews for the actions of the NKVD. There was a rouge so called commander of the Taras Bulba battalion who used the name Ukrainian Insurgent Army until he was forced to stop. The NKVD had also captured or made up uniforms of the UPA Ukrainian Insurgent Army and did NKVD actions of murder etc.

People in glass houses should not throw stones as I warned you before. There was a Russian general from the Don Cossack region who formed an Army ( actually a super division) he wore a SS type of uniform. I recall his name may be Vlasov. Look him up.

Just about every nation or a small percent of peoples from an ethnic did some
bad things especially during WWII. GUESS WHAT……all have stopped except for Russia and Serbia. Funny how those two are friends. Yes I know the Serbs are grateful for the assist they got in the Rocia- Turko war.

Keep in mind for any accusation you make about Ukraine or Ukrainians I can and have highlighted a match or exceeded what Rocia has done.

Again I leave you with free advice - people in glass houses should not throw stones.

Russian conscripts being sent to the front lines to be slaughtered with zero training are complaining in videos and many are calling Ukraine hotline to surrender before arriving on the battlefield.

This forced draft by Russia is a joke and about to flip against Putin.

You have destroyed your own argument with item number 1. There are no NATO or US troops in Ukraine. Edit that out and stay real and then we can have an honest discussion. By including a Putinism and a QUANON piece crap you render your points worthless.

Are you willing to have a discussion on an honest basis???

Everyone involved in this very real, terrible threat to all humanity can talk, debate, propose solutions, and drill into all such discussions to their hearts' content -- who knows... maybe someone will hit on a useful idea.

In the meantime, forasmuch as we in 'the West' have now been officially threatened with nuclear war by Russian President Putin himself, we in the United States should escalate to DEFCON 2 ("Fast Pace") and maintain the prescribed readiness for as long as necessary.

Reportedly, we are currently at DEFCON 3.

As the guards hand them conscription orders, the signs fall to the ground and they head to the border as well.

There are no Russian conscripts. The 170 thousand who entered for the Special Military Operations were part of the Russian army. Most of the fighting was done by the armies of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics to free the rest of their lands, with help from the Spetsnaz, Wagner group and the volunteer Chechnyans.

The 300 thousand called now to protect the new Russia border are reserves and it is 1.2% of its total man power - which is about 27 million.. But then again it is an English tabloid so other than lies, what can one expect.

As for the Russian Active military personnel it's a little over 1 million and its reserves are 2 million. Now what else do you want to know?

Nice Putin and his Nazi Press statements you are repeating, but in actual reality is quite a differing set of circumstances. Over 150,000 Russians have fled Russia alone since Putin stated conscription less than a week ago. That is more people fleeing Russia than have been conscripted to fight in his army thus far.

I wouldn't doubt it be long before a full scale rebellion by Russians against their Furher as Nazism is no longer tolerated in this world. Putin should change tactics or he may forfeit everything he has ever accomplished.

An good point you bring up .. Will Vlad use nukes .. and in what capacity. This question came to Lavrov the other day when speaking at the UN - Taking Questions from various agencies .. including one from Reuters. He responded that its spelled out in so and so document.. position is the same .. If homeland attacked .. all bets off - and so on.

Found it interesting how - Lavrov speaking - at the UN and subsequent questions was "Not News" .. least not any I could find on a the vast array of channels .. France - Euronews - none of the Western networks US Canada - can't remember which I watched it off of .. could have been China - Al Jezera .. RT but this is a digression.

We got what Lavrov said -- does this however have anything to do with what Vlad is likely to do.

For the most part I would not see why Vlad would go beyond -- Prior to other escalation. So I am not saying Vlad will not do something like using a small tactical nuke .. but this would not happen prior to other escalatory steps .. for example.. Vlad is getting ticked off about the level of US support .. they have not sent long range weapons but the stuff they have been sending (which includes NATO) has been taking a toll .. and Vlad has been warning about the level of military support.

OK . so -- lets us say this gets beyond threshold of pain -- Vlad is going to respond .. There are many things he can do .prior to unleashing a nuke .. such as attacking NATO Assets .. outside of Ukraine .. sinking a few ships .. or just start seizing them. Sinking a US carrier would send a message >>>> FU <<<<<

Point being that there are escalations that would happen prior to nukes - and there are many many many options. How about .. Vlad is not happy about US giving Targeting info .. using their satellites for guidance and so on -- Shooting down few of those satelites would escalate things in a hurry .. no need for nukes . but the whole world is now freaking out ..because don't take much of that kind of space-war .. before we can't go to space .. so much junk .

Oh there are all kinds of things .. and even the space junk option --there would be escalatory things that would happen before getting to that level .. Vlad is not just going to whip out a tactical nuke for the hell of it .... not before causing a whole lot of pain .. in other ways .. **** .. he may go biological before using nukes .. there is an interesting option .. If ya liked Covid - just wait until you see what the biolab in Ukraine cooked up .. ...ohhhhh .. sorry .. no .. not that one .. I meant the one in "Stalingrad" .. the Biolab in Stalingrad.

Or ..how about .. Vlad announces .. we are sanctioning your oil --- Joe Biden -- big tough guy. Seize those tankers trying to move oil in or out .. .. kind of a "Do as we Say - Not as we do" Fk U :) hoop tee boo..

Thats the kind of things that wars are about -- this war has not moved beyond the borders of Ukraine --- breaching that boundary is the escalation to watch for .. no worries about Vlad bringing out a tactical nuke till then I don't think.

First of all Vladimir Putin has always threatened with nuclear war if there is an attack on the Russian people, their heritage and civilization. It's nothing new. What is new is the spin and lies that is now being said by Blinken and the MSM. I wonder what their game is? The Iraq war comes to mind. This time though, the US will not be in it. They're pitting the EU against Russia.

Unlike us, Russia will always defend their Constitution and laws from take overs by the liberal globalists such as Klaus Schwab and his billionaire World Economic Forum cohorts.

I feel Russia's people and generals would rebel and overthrow Putin if he attempted to escalate the war using Nukes without any nation actually threatening Russia. And, that does not include Donbass, Crimea etc. Thus, the rest of the world will call his bluff because Putin knows he cannot win in the end playing the Nuclear game. He would be assassinated outright the moment he asks to send any Nukes.

I think that you know more than let us know that you do, Jeannette. So, this question, please, and I'm just trying to understand what we can expect to share besides DEATH as a result of all this "Ukraine" business: will Putin be satisfied with the Donbass provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk, or does he think he must have Kherson and Zaporizhia, too? Or are his ambitions more wide-ranging, perhaps to include everything east of the Dnieper River? There surely is room for compromise -- unless somebody goes nuts and actually starts a nuclear war....

Kherson and Zaporizhia have already voted in the referendums to become part of the Russian Federation. The one that had the most Ukrainians in proportion to Russians was Kherson, but Kherson had been a problem for Crimea since it joined Russia. They would shut off water, electricity, etc.

When Patrick Lancaster interviewed the people in Kherson, he was told that most of the Ukrainians will vote to be part of Russia because of the constant shelling by Ukraine. When he asked them if they fear persecution from the Russians, they said not at all. I recall when Crimea was taken over, many in the Ukrainian military joined the Russian army because the pay was higher.

Of course all of this would not have happened if Zalensky would have followed up on the Minsk II agreement, but could he?
