this economic damage has been exacerbated by many state governments — uniformly controlled by Democrats — which have chosen this very dark economic moment to raise taxes. In contrast, states with Republican-controlled legislatures have reduced taxes and pursued policies that have put money back into the pockets of their constituents.

How are these competing approaches working out?…
..the economy is something we create by our individual choices. Those who voted for the Democrats in 2020 were not misled by that party’s candidates and their preferred policies. Those voters chose a path that has led us to lose $8 trillion of value in the stock market, experience extraordinarily high inflation, and have the value of everyone’s paycheck reduced.

Be mindful and intentional with your voting decisions at all levels.

The national costs of the mistake we as a nation made in November 2020 is growing every day. The Biden economy truly sucks compared to where Trump had us and was guiding us back to post China virus. It’s not just national though. The differences between the states grows more by the day too, often in bordering states where one cuts taxes and regulations and the other increases them.

Not only do we get the economy we vote for, the winners in the various states and the federal level get the economy they deserve

We might be poor, but at least 3 year olds will still get to have sex changes under democratic rule. We know the priorities of the left, and a good economy is not one of them.

And free travel, healthcare and education for illegals. That’s important.

It is not. You are right. They want a strong enough recession / depression to break the red state economies regardless how bad it gets for the blue ones. They want an economy mix reset to restore the bicoastal dominance over what’s left

Some here have said a recession is worth the price of ridding us of President Trump. Well they got it and independents are not happy. The elites are mad that the Trump administration and other economic trends forced industry to insource back to America and now they are bringing in unlimited illegal immigration to make sure that working class middle America Americans don’t get those jobs back. If they can’t outsource our jobs to foreign destinations they will import foreign workers to the jobs here. That is the point of Bidens border policy

Could be true - most of the better economies have come with Democrats in the White House.

This proves that wars increase the GDP.

Note the Vietnam war with Kennedy and Johnson.

The GDP went up as expected, but the economy went down.

The US moved off the gold standard after 8 years of heavy fighting.

Unemployment the Lowest in 38 years !

The moves President Biden has made to bring back industries to America thru the Chips and science Act , Improved Veterans Healthcare,

much needed infrastructure investment will be looked on for Decades as the turning point for a Long enduring prosperity for our Country

Biden is only causing problems and disasters, not solutions. Everything he’s done that wasn’t bipartisan has harmed America and our economy

Some of the bills were Partisan. Those that weren't were the right being political instead of what's good for America.

Dems offering solutions instead of the Repubs pandering to the Far right

Nice meme, but government is never responsible for growth; only the degree in which growth is hindered.

One reason for the war in Afghanistan was to use up the huge stockpile of munitions that had built up previously.

    WW2 was unique.

And GDP measures, well, nothing, or everything, ... what is going wrong increases the GDP as much as things going right.

Because he inherited the tech bubble burst and 9-11 effects at the beginning of his first term, and the housing bubble at the end of his 2nd term. The 6 years in between were darn good. Just like the first three Trump years were very good before the 100 year global pandemic.

Just an FYI, Trump was NOT hamstrung by Obama AND said Neo Fascist Toddler did "inherit" a strong steady economy that Obama carefully (read as seamlessly) handed off to him.

Biden was not so lucky and was hamstrung by said Neo Fascist Toddler during the transition and was also LEFT WITH a total **** show full of obstacles on Jan 20th.

Context, reality and factual timelines do so easily escape the OPs you like to "promote".

There was nothing about the obama economy that would fit under the word strong.

There's no point in trying to have a philosophical discussion about what Americans should vote for anymore. We've been cultured to suck on welfare and 'subsidy' teats by the Democrat Party for so long that government handouts are all that more and more Americans even consider when we vote.

Think: it's the main reason WHY the whole damned Third-world is clamoring to barge in here, legally or not!

Yet compared to Trump 'growth", he kicked Trump's VERY fat arse. Just do the GDP comparison, new job creation and stock market growth as a percentage of the actual market of Obama vs T-Rump. Reality and facts are not your friend here so I'd suggest more gas lighting and deflection are you only viable choices.

    Moving into the present:

    OPEC
The right thing to do was what Pres Carter did, it hurt us for a while but gave decades of low oil prices.

Cut the demand first, then prices come down, and as long as supply exceeded demand, prices stayed down.

Demand fell during COVID, just keep the supply up and that will keep the suppliers from controlling the market.

COVID was the perfect place to continue that policy, but Biden did the wrong thing and cut the supply, putting the ball in OPEC's court.
