Musk is going to see the value of Twitter rise slightly and then collapse as their REAL customers, the advertisers, are frightened off by Nazis offending people but not buying anything and Activists then boycotting these advertisers for supporting Nazis.

I myself am thinking of starting a service appropriately named, NOPOL, which will instantly ban any user who discusses current politics in any manner whatsoever. Should I amend my will to handle the several billion this will net me?

 

Advertisers will go where the crowds are. They want lots of eyes and ears hearing their ads. They don't give a **** about much else.

Do you remember Hunter Biden's laptop? It was all true, all the corruption of of the Biden crime family was true, yet right before the election it was banned from social media, censored, and smeared. That is what Democrats do. The censor and lie. We saw Biden try to create a ministry of truth in order to censor and lie so as to bury stories Democrats dislike and promote stories they like.

Is your head in the sand? Colleges, on line, in the streets. I would bet money that more conservatives are attacked each year than liberals. I would also bet money that more conservatives were banned on Twitter and Facebook. YouTube also bans talking points. Even Biden’s administration suggested that if one platform bans someone they all should ban them. It is most definitely the lefts goal to silence conservatives to the best of their ability. If you can’t see that then no one can help you see it. It’s right in front of your face

The sky is falling for a lot of Twitter employees, and why? Because Elon massively overpaid for the company and is having buyer's regret.

Ya that's bound to happen with any major pivot or change to any company. That's how stocks work...uncertainty, value goes down.

If all of twitter ends up getting burned to the ground I will still celebrate.

From what I've read, it's pretty much a rostered day off per month. Many employers offer something similar, and while it's very distressing to some Americans who want to pretend we still live in the Victorian era, shorter working weeks and arrangements like working from home are used by employers to attract and retain talented workers.

Elon Musk apparently fired the entire Australia and Pacific Twitter staff without notice. That's illegal in Australia, as workers have rights here and some greedy billionaire like Musk can't just come along and sack people without any notice or giving them redundancy packages.

Because they weren't given any notice. He only bought the company a few days ago and Australian law says there's about 60 days notice* required.

*Don't quote me on 60 days. I read it this morning and it was either 60 or 90 and I'm far too lazy to go and Google it now.

 

Musk is finding out that he can't MAKE people do business with him, no matter how much money he has. Maybe the RW will figure this out too, eventually.

 

That's not how it was done. They're losing all access to work resources, but they are still being paid and are still technically employed by the company.

That's how he did it for CA. They'll be paid until Feb 2, at which time they'll be formally separated.

 

Liberals everywhere would have a conniption fit if they lost control of Facebook
