every state in the union should legalize psilocybin. The therapeutic effects alone are reason enough.

I was in a bad place after several family tragedies and micro-dosing mushrooms helped end the tub of meds doctors had put me on.

Ah, i remember doing shrooms once, it was really fun.
I liked it more than LSD( also did once), which gave me a feeling of something alien running in my veins, unlike mushrooms a natural fuzzy warmth.
I think everything that is natural should be allowed, what is syntethic banned.

in my part of the world, you can walk in the woods and pick up the magic mushrooms, but culturally it is not ingrained because the magic ones look identical to a poisonous species.

Hopefully this will allow for better study and understanding of their effects.

I did them hundreds of times in my early twenties. That they have therapeutic value is beyond dispute. I believe they also have much to teach us about human consciousness in general.

A couple I found the last time I went hunting. I have lots of fun just hunting them. Like an Easter egg hunt for grown ups.

Two nice specimens of pscilocybe cubensis.

What possible advantage do democrats gain from having a drug addled populous? For a party that is so beholden to big pharma, these little spates into home grown granola just never cease to amuse....

I guess we're about to see a rise in public nuisance behavior I don't see how this is a win at all socially speaking

pick your poison, many pick alcohol, you want to ban that too?

Mushrooms are good for the brain... and not toxic like alcohol, and also not addictive like alcohol

in a free country, people should be able to partake if they wish, just be responsible

A friend mine told me about his psychedelic experiences. He said his first time he encountered a bunch of gnomes who were laughing at him. Years later he tried it again and said the gnomes returned and told him "we're back mother ****er." Weird. I guess many people have gnome encounters on psychedelics.

Prohibition of psychedelics is the least defensible of all drug prohibitions. They are largely non-addictive, even anti-addictive. After dosing mushrooms you don't want more mushrooms for a while. The lethal dose is many thousands of times the active dose, overdose is not a real concern.

Prohibition of psychedelics is even less defensible than prohibition of cannabis. At least smoking cannabis involves inhaling burnt plant matter.

Nice to see some fellow conservatives getting behind mushrooms.

I highly recommend DMT as well, mainly because it lasts 10 minutes so it's not a big commitment.

Also known as the business men's trip for it short and brief but intense duration.

What's crazy is that DMT is a schedule 1 drug yet it is endogenous to the human body, produced by the pineal gland. Said to be responsible for near death and out of body experiences and mystical states of consciousness.

Not everyone has 6 hours to devote to a psychedelic experience. That has been my experience with shrooms anyways.. even if it's barely a threshold dose or a very heavy dose the entire experience is about 6 hours.

I'm guessing that was probably a DMT experience. Many people report extraterrestrials or little people on DMT

Pscilocybe cubensis in it's natural habitat. AKA " purple ringer " Notice that it is growing directly off of cattle dung, though the dung is a rather older pile as you can see by its smaller state.

This is the species that most people think of when they say magic mushroom. Very common in any Gulf State or southeastern region of the US.

As long as you know what it is that you are picking and identifying it will always be free of charge and there will never be fentanyl in it

It can drag toward the end, which is why I prefer DMT.

Technically all humans are in possession of DMT, a schedule I narcotic.

As far as positively identifying pscilocybe cubensis, there are three cannot go wrong hallmarks....

    A. Does it grow directly upon the dung of a grass eating mammal, most common would be a cow ?

    B. Does it bruise a bluish indigo coloration immediately upon cutting or bruising the flesh?
It will happen within 30 seconds and be evident.

    C. Is there a purple ring around the stem of the older specimens?

And if it also grows in the Southeastern Gulf States and the answer to all of the above questions is yes there is a very very very high likelihood that you have found a pscilocybe

I've never had the chance to do it but I would gladly trade you a dose of pscilocybe cubensis.
:) ( of course I am only joking because depending on the area that might be illegal)

And not only are they in possession of it but they're walking manufacturers of it

Mushrooms are certainly not like alcohol or cocaine.

The use of mushrooms certainly does not encourage repeated and addictive use. After you have had a good mushroom experience you are not even ready to think about eating mushrooms again for a good period of time.

Even in my drugged out twenties I would only do mushrooms twice a week. Now think about cocaine... You want to snort another line about every half hour

And I have never heard anyone say man I got to go rob my mama for some more mushroom money..... Especially since they're totally free of charge if you know what to look for and when and where to go and find them .

You will never see the cartel trafficking mushrooms. And there's a reason for that

Maybe future packaging should carry a warning, for those with a compromised resistance to gnome mockery.

Did you read the article? This legislation was designed for the profit of big business interests; to do the 'shrooms, you need to go to a "wellness center." I wonder how that works, how long you have to stay there. Seems like a bummer, if you have to spend your whole trip, under observation, by people in white coats.

There is a good book on the topic called, "DMT The Spirit molecule".

The author's name escapes me but I read the book about 20 years ago and if DMT peaks your interest I would recommend it as a good read.

The hell with that s***! I just get a day where I don't have anything to do and go out in the woods by myself with some cold beer and go hunting and let whatever happens shake out!

My best mushroom experiences have been by myself out in the woods in the daytime where I didn't have to worry about interacting with anyone else.

Now I may sound like quite the advocate of mushroom use but I'll tell you this.... Having done them hundreds of times in my early twenties and sporadically into my early 30s.....

I have not done any and at least 8
Years and I really don't feel the need to do anymore anytime soon.

Now don't get me wrong if I'm out riding somewhere and I see some I might pick them because some of my friends are interested in them... ( Only in states where that would be legal of course) But I could go to the rest of my life without doing them again and I wouldn't be missing out on anything because I've done them many times.

But of course I'm not putting that in writing or making a contractor or anything.... Who knows what might happen someday?
