You didn't fight anybody. There is no "we". I am not part of your tribe. Unless you are volunteering to fight yourself, you are chicken hawk. We spend more than the next 9 countries combined to enrich American military contractors

Well there are the interests of US military contractors..... you know the ones that have been pestering me with recruiting emails for the past few months.... business apparently has been booming as of late. I wonder how that happened.

When our resident liberals spout their reinvented domino theory and tough pro war talk they should perhaps inspire us with their own personal tales of war heroics. They couldn't have all had "asthma" like tough guy Joe Biden.

One wonders how many young liberals will be contacting a military recruiter in the near future? lol

Also, amazing how liberals that will not defend our own border want out military to defend someone else's border.

Mistakes are so easy to make. In 1982, we had a huge Air Defense radar complex built on a hill called the "Wasserkuppe" right on the East Germany-West Germany IZB (InterZonal Border). It picked up hundreds of Russian aircraft heading into West Germany. The rules said that we should immediately engage them when they crossed the border. We almost had WWIII except for a fast thinking Army Major that felt something was wrong and he held back the alarm. It turned out that the aircraft had been cleared by 1st AADCOM (1st Army Air Defense Command), but no one had told the Wasserkuppe. They were all headed for the Paris Air Show.

    No.
It is to facilitate NATO forces in all member states.
NATO is an alliance with its own forces.

    https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/topics_49755.htm

However if a member is attacked, national forces are expected to take part as well.

This reminds me of the first gulf war. Patriot missile defence system was installed in Israel. At the time it was reported that they were a huge success against scud missiles. It later turned out that they had a success rate of about 5%. Much of the damage shown on TV was not due to scud missiles successfully landing and blowing up but caused by the patriot missiles missing their target and exploding on landing. The explosive power of a patriot missile was higher than that of a scud. Debris was also a big problem. Many of the few unguided scuds shot down would have overshot Israel and instead those intercepted dropped on the Israeli towns as the defence system was based in those towns.

France is perfectly capable of using its nuclear warship and submarine.
As well as its own armed drones.

I am saying America encouraged the formation of NATO in the aftermath of WW2.
That there was a clear recognition that the west identifies as a global ideology that stands together against those who would destroy it.

FYI, the USA military is always adjusting it's forces around the world, or moving them.

Encouraged? Such a nice way to put it. NATO was needed after WW2. But what about in 1991 when The Warsaw Pact ended? Why didn't European leaders have the balls to stand up to the US and tell them Europe was their continent and didn't want any US interference? European leaders were gutless back then and they are gutless today.

No worries mate, they were just a couple of Polish peasants. It seems they were killed by a Ukrainian missile that was attempting to shoot down a Russian missile. So the story goes today. If true it's pretty damn stupid for a Ukrainian missile to be fired west towards a NATO country. And then try to blame it on the Russians. I smell a red flag attempt by Selensky.

Poland blast caused by missile fired by Ukrainian forces at incoming Russian missile - AP

    Reuters

Nov 16 (Reuters) - Initial findings suggest that the missile that hit Poland was fired by Ukrainian forces at an incoming Russian missile, Associated Press reported on Wednesday, citing U.S. officials.

Perhaps you might take five minutes to review the notion of a western alliance united against the removal of your democracy and human rights.
Though there are more and more moments when I consider leaving the USA to the wolves. Russia is far closer to California than you may think. A couple of nuclear heads from Siberia would cause a bit of a ripple in some American's arrogance.

If it werent for Russian aggression there would be no need for self defence.

Seen a lot of video of S300 mishap's. It was an accident whether it was malfunction, or just missed its target. Read the thread again, people were quick to make assumption's.

Yes Americans are their own worst enemies. Russia won't need to attack the US, we'll destroy ourselves from within.

I just provided a link to the latest possibility. It seems it was a Russian made missile fired by the Ukrainian military.

    No.

Russian Missile malfunction. Kremlin will never admit it because Russian missiles are the bestest.

Putin didn't go because he did not want to be humiliated.

Yes. Russian S300 anti aircraft missile. I have seen videos of those going errant in some cases, pretty old at this point. Russia uses S400 and moving to 500 series already(been deployed) so 300 series is dated even by their standards. Could have just went errant or missed the target, accident.
