This is a debate forum. If you have a point you'd like to debate, say what you really mean.

Before a debate, I would like to understand ones position. Is using the IRS as a political weapon bad now? I thought we wanted trump investigated by the IRS???

You're ok with it when it's done to him.

there is a difference between you and me wanting the IRS to investigate someone and the President asking the IRS to do it

You'd have a point if there were solid evidence against Joe Biden.

Despite repeated requests for solid evidence, everything they've shown me isn't proof of illegal activity.

First, your link as nothing to do with Obama. Moreover, the investigation of the IRS demonstrated they used both liberal and conservative terms to search, on line, for organizations to audit. When one does such a thing, one side is probably going to get more audits than the other, randomity is rarely even keeled, and it, by that very fact, doesn't prove bias. Is it worthy of an apology? Sure, but as long as there is proof that they used both liberal and conservative key words in their search, that proves they weren't necessarily 'out to get conservative groups'. But, that particular detail doesn't sit well with those who like to cry they are being persecuted, namely Donald Trump.

My link has everything to do with Trump. Whether or not anyone was audited are not isn't the point, the point is the Kelley indicates Trump wanted to use the IRS as a weapon. It's about who the president is. His incompetence at failing to achieve his evil deeds isn't the point.

WBK, one of these days you are going to substantiate your claims.

Until then, I can't take you seriously.

    Questions have an assumed premise.

First, *clear your premises, then, ask the questions.

*Clear: this mean to achieve a meeting of mind with the person to whom you put the question, regarding the *premise of the question.

*Premise: this is what your question implies. Think about what you are implying, make sure the person you question accepts the premise, then.......

and only then, can you ask a question that has an assumed premise.

The answer is ~NO~ our friends from the left did not care that the FBI & the Clinton Campaign illegally spied on the Trump campaign or that the IRS was targeting conservative groups during The Obama/Biden administration. They liked it!!! My :twocents:

The answer is ~Yes~ It is just another case of the anti-Trump brigade + all of their other negative anti-American sentiments revealing their moral turpitude publicly! My :twocents: (Really Liked the use of the word turpitude!)

You delude yourself into believing Democrats haven’t

The Democrats never do this though, right?
Since we both know that they do, your point is moot.

He already did by countering what you said by asking you a direct question. This is a debate forum, remember?

Why all this when a simple yes or no would have sufficed?

    You wrote:

So weaponizing the IRS is bad now?

You are asking a question with an assumed premise.

The premise is I've said something which makes you believe that I might find weaponizing the IRS is a good thing.

But, since I didn't say anything which you could reasonably interpret that way, i object to the premise.

So, Doofen, what was it I wrote that prompted the question? Because what your question assumes, that I might find such a practice acceptable, is insulting.

That's what we have to sort out.

If you have something you'd like to debate, offer it.

Otherwise, I don't take dictation from observers on this forum.

Just a suggestion: observe where the conversation goes before you make assumptions about the nature of the conversation and stick your foot in your mouth.
