Is it wrong to let a 7 year old child explore how they feel in terms of their gender identity? When one parent says yes and the other says no, there's going to fireworks especially when being used in a custody battle.

The boy wants to dress as a girl. Should that be encouraged by the parents? What are the ramifications of forcing a child to dress in a way they don't want to? Why is it not okay to validate a child's gender identity and support their exploration of that identity? I would think it would be just as bad to invalidate a child's feelings about who they are.

I wonder how much damage all this media attention has done to this child? In most cases involving the private matters of a minor, names are withheld as well as photographs.

Not according to what I read!

A 7-year-old should not be urged in any way to be this or that. Kids experiment with opposing boy/girl roles sometimes. I remember once when I was that age I tried on my mothers high heels to see how difficult it might be to walk in them. Mom asked me to not use her shoes and led me away from the play time. I had no intention of living as a girl! I was just investigating differences and learning about my environment. Kids do that.

What I read was that little James wasn’t comfortable with his “mom’s” wishes and wanted to live with his dad. I see that as rebellion against the transgender stuff his “mother” had in mind for him. And I see her constant attempts to make him a girl as the concerns of a very sick woman.

Something like 80% of these young people that are clearly engaging in a fad, without the mental capacity to realize the tremendous harm that is resulting would simply grow out of it, and probably most of the rest would live perfectly happy normal lives as a gay person. But by the time these children are sliced up and and doped up, they will need lifelong care and many will never again experience an orgasm or natural parenthood, but, the Big Med and Big Drug will make a lot of money by destroying them.

It's interesting to me that this is on the Gay and Lesbian topic. IMO this is medical and drug conversion therapy.

One poor young girl who had been destroyed and wanted help getting undestroyed, found that the same folks who love bombed her while she was getting her breasts sliced off, now, wouldn't even take her calls. Another young girl, who did get through, asked to have her breasts reattached because she had changed her mind.
