We have a strong divide between our rural and urban populations, with our rural population having serious advantages in representation.

So, cities are being required by law to support a rural view of guns, regardless of what that means for gun safety in our cities.

And, your positioning of Democratic party moves for gun safety are not only false, but strongly politically motivated. The very idea of considering legislation like background checks being fascist just shows how desperately extremist you and others have become.

Why does it sometimes seem like media gatekeepers want to control narratives:

There you go again!! (As Reagan often said!)

A demonstration against racism in our police forces CAN NOT BE COMPARED to an insurrection against America.

I'd say several blocks of a MAJOR city being taken over for 3 weeks by Liberal extremists resulting in 4 murders is a pretty big deal and on par with Jan 6th, which only lasted 1 day.

And, that is just plain ridiculous.

The Seattle demonstration targeted racist police behavior. Behavior. It didn't target even so much as changing our laws - though there were some who wanted to move money from policing toward nonviolent conflict resolution.

The Jan 6 insurrection was a violent attempt to overthrow our democracy.

Suggesting those are similar is just plain ludicrous.

But, it DOES point out the fact that the Republican party IS interested in ending our Democracy.

What would YOU suggest America use instead of democracy??

If you're going to attempt to kill the VP and throw out our democracy at the federal and state level, surely you have thought of alternatives you prefer.

so you think we should weaken our rights?

what does that have to do with anything, do you think those murders are going free after being found guilty?

I know the preachers wife did, but very few do.... think that was Tennessee

I don't remember saying anything about weakening our rights and I don't think that the killers will go free.

Kindly cite where I have ever stated, suggested or implied that background checks are fascist. I think you've confused me with someone else, bro.

I wasn't referring to you specifically.

I wouldn't charge you with representing the GOP.

Sounds like some kind of revenge attack, or maybe a bad LSD trip.

Seems a bit too methodical for a "bad LSD trip", but admittedly, I don't have any first-hand experience with LSD trips, good, bad, or otherwise

I do think there is a connection of some kind between one of the victims and the perp. But until the perp is identified and/or is caught, anything is possible.

because people look at stats and see what's actually the problem and want policies against such problems. And roughly speaking, firearms are 10 times more often used to kill than a knife.

Sounds like we might have a serial Stabber up here in the Northwest. Young couple stabbed in Oregon in 2021, the man died, but the woman survived after being stabbed 19 times, a 71 year old lady in Washougal in 2020 and now these 4 college students in Moscow. Lots of weirdos out there and hopefully if he comes to my house and manages to get by my Dog that can hear a Mouse fart in China, I'll be able to take care of this menace. One thing I do know for certain, each and every one of these victims would have loved to have a Semi auto handy before he started plunging that knife over and over into their bodies. Creeps like this study their prey and select the weak and unarmed.

So! you'd be comfortable with a Pedophile that raped a little kid that has served his time being hired to be a Kindergarten classroom full of 5 year olds.

Was the woman unable to provide any identifying information about her attacker?

where do you get that idea, I think a Pedophile that raped a little kid should be in prison for life, never released to even apply for a job....

I thought this quote of mine made it clear

"I do not want violent people released from prison, do you think "lists" keep children safe? if someone is so dangerous, they should not be on the streets"

Well! unless you live on Fantasy Island, Pedophiles arn't sentenced to life in Prison and are routinely released from prison after they've served their sentence to victimize children again. You said once violent felons served their time, they have their rights restored, like Gun ownership, but having their rights restored would also pertain to employment. I'm just making a comparison that if you're a violent criminal released from Prison, you don't get your Gun ownership rights restored, just like a Pedophile doesn't get all his rights restored when it comes to having close contact to children after he's served his time in Prison.
