there will be a nationwide abortion ban passed next year by people who were spouting the "let the states decide" bull just a few months ago.

 

No one is against any of those things. Nobody is actively fighting against any of those things and nobody is killing children legally to escape from under those things.

It's a false arguement.

 

The decision which changed Roe did so by saying that since abortion is not mentioned in the Constitution, the Federal government had no authority to allow, ban or regulate it. Get it? The decision said the federal government had no power in the abortion arena... so ther can be no federal ban.
Learn a little about the subject and the law before posting.

these constitutional arguments are meaningless when dealing with an activist court, and there are many functions of government which fall under the "necessary and proper" clause.

 

The purpose of the Court is to enforce the Constitution, not destroy it. The Dodd decision is a perfect example of that.

 

Every time I hear that phrase "peace love dope", I instantly think of James Earl Jones yelling it at Kevin Costner in Field Of Dreams.

The anti-choice contingent doesn't want to control the birth rate, they want to control women. They don't want women to be free to have sex for pleasure, with whomever they want, as men are expected to do in our society. These new state abortion bans are designed to punish us for enjoying what our bodies were designed for (think about it ... does the clitorus serve any other function?).

It is religious-based tyranny, nothing more.

 

There will always be a small number of fringe folks on both sides that make lots of noise but have little real impact.

 

Good for her. She should edefinitely live her life as she pleases. My problem with holier-than-thou, arrogant people like Lila Rose comes when they try to tell me, or anyone else, that we should live our lives by her standards and not our own. Who the eff do these people think they are? God's chosen rulers?

As for pills, there are these drugs called birth control pills that women have been using since the 1950s. Those fail now and then, so now we have a pill we can take after sex, be it from choice or from rape or incest. However, it seems that the right wants to take those away from us, too. (As a case in point, a 17 year old girl once had a seriously threatening stalker. In order to protect her from the pregnancy consequence should the stalker manage to rape the girl, her mother took her to the doctor and put her on the pill. That was in addition to the restraining order, but we all know how well those work.)

True, but the information I provided is not about the fringe, it's about mainstream Republicans who currently hold office and can have influence on our private lives.

Since when does any government, federal state or local, have the right to know if we're using contraceptives? Nor do they have a right to know our medical conditions, including pregnancy.

 

Young People that fall in love and form families tend to vote more Republican, so, they promote everything that prevents that, including medical castration.

 

It's so interesting that the Left is so worried about young girls getting married, yet seems to think them having lots of promiscuous sex with various guys outside of marriage is inconsequential.

Well, that's just from a conservative perspective.

 

Tell me who is doing that... and how... sounds like a little imagination at work. If you use a rubber someone else will know? How's that? You have TV cameras in your bedroom? Just buy a box of rubbers and have fun.
