Human history is very clear. When a small group rules a much larger group by force, at some point the larger group destroys the smaller group.

When you reach for the whip to stay in power, you have mounted the tiger.

Iran protests escalate as children killed by regime mourned.

'A wave of fresh protests erupted in Iran on Friday as the regime cut off internet access to multiple cities across the country, Iranian media and rights groups reported. The protests were reportedly sparked by the funerals of Iranian children killed by security forces, and they appeared to be gaining in intensity as Iran's hardline Islamic rulers face their most significant challenge in decades.'

They fired into the family's car and murdered the 9 year old. They justified killing the 9 year old by claiming he was a 'terrorist'. The evil Iranian regime describing 9 year olds of those that disagree with them, sound like Biden describing his political opponents.

The International community, after 8 weeks, is finally starting to take note of the Iranian situation. The U.N. General Assembly's Third Committee (which focuses on human rights, humanitarian & social issues) just passed a resolution, urging the Islamic Republic to cease its use of excessive force against protestors. The motion was ratified by a vote of 80 in favor, & 28 opposed, with 68 abstentions. This Thursday (Thanksgiving), however, is when the U.N. Human Rights Council will vote on a resolution, holding Iran accountable.

That said, we must admit that Iran is no stranger, to sanctions. But I'm still interested in what both the U.N., and individual nations, come up with. France's Macron, has apparently already recognized these "protests," as a revolution. Will the U.S., which is one of the U.N. resolution's sponsors, revoke visas for members of the Iranian regime, living in the U.S., and/or freeze individuals' assets?

    <Snip>
The UN’s Third Committee has approved a draft resolution on Iran’s human rights situation, expressing concern at the alarmingly high frequency of the death penalty in the country...

The United Nations General Assembly Third Committee -- also known as the Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee or C3 – also approved four other resolutions on Myanmar, Syria, North Korea, Crimea and one about the refugees and displaced persons in Africa...

Rejecting the draft, the Islamic Republic’s delegate denounced the co-sponsors -- including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel and Germany. She claimed that women and girls in Iran are fully aware of their rights and how to interact with the government, adding that there is no need for Western countries to advocate for them. She made the remarks while around 350 Iranian protesters have been killed in the current wave of protests and about over 14,000 have been detained with the judiciary sentencing several of them to death in sham trials.

350 is what we know ... many more were murdered and tortured that we don't know about.
But ... the UN is busy with a different story - Palestinian was slightly hurt while throwing rocks on Israeli cars ..

Don't know what you mean-- my post cited a vote in the U.N., on holding Iran accountable, this coming Thursday.

Additionally, the U.N. is occupied over Iran's nuclear capabilities: 1)through the International Atomic Energy Agency; 2) with diplomatic efforts, around the JCPOA; to 3) possibly even the U N. Security Council becoming involved.

I highly doubt that whatever incident, to which you refer, is monopolizing their attention.

World Cup 2022: Iran team stage silent protest
While the people of Iran protest back home, the national team sent a powerful message of their own from Qatar. Iran coach Carlos Queiroz conceded his players
are "affected by the issue" after a 6-2 defeat by England.

The murderous regime in Iran is carrying out ethnic cleansing of the Kurdish minority.
This includes deportation, murder, imprisonment of Kurds in prisons including torture.
The world is not working to change the situation of the Kurds, the world is only concerned with the issue of the Palestinian wall of lies.

Update - Farideh Moradkhani, the niece of Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader, calls on international community to support Iranians.
She compares her uncle to Hitler and Mussolini. She says Iranians will overthrow the Islamic Republic. Her uncle has had her arrested in the past.

How are the Iranian people supposed to win with sports teams losing and burning down one building? No, they won't. the Iranian government is conducting a systematic purge of the protestors without challenge. And pouts by the UN or others are not changing the situation. The Iranian government knows what to do and is willing to do it to stay in power.

The protests began as a movement by youth and women against mandatory hijab laws and morality police issues. That aspect of the protest movement succeeded, as even the previously lax enforcement of hijab laws have basically stopped and the morality police is no longer visible. But at some point, protests that were once mostly just using the tools of outside agitators trying to sink Iran and cause an implosion and civil war, became tools of such groups looking for "regime change" for all the wrong reasons. In the process, the largely mainstream protests splintered and have now become a movement of a radicalized minority relying mostly on ethnic cleavages and foreign backed terrorist groups to keep their relevance.

Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan province, a Sunni majority region bordering Pakistan, is also an area of Iran as far removed (socially, culturally, economically, and geographically) from the country's center as you can find. This isn't just by far the most impoverished province of Iran, it is the only one that I have never visited because years of cross-border drug trafficking and bloodshed have always made it an area quite neglected by not just the government but most Iranians as well. This isn't even like the Kurdish regions, which are also impoverished with Sunni majority. There are as many Kurds who love Iran as don't and the Persian mainstream has always tried to assimilate the Kurds and show their mostly Iranian traditions and folklore respect. The problem with the Kurds is two-fold: first, fellow Kurdish groups outside of Iran's borders have tried to encourage separatist tendencies among them. Second, while there are picturesque aspects of their subculture that are appealing, for whatever reason, many of the male chauvinist (and worse) traditions which some like to falsely associate with all Muslim countries, are more prevalent among Iran's Sunni minority (including Kurds) than the rest of the country. Which then makes this the most ironic and bizarre tale: a protest movement which began under the slogan of "woman, life, liberty" has descended to a movement where AQ and ISIS gangs are working with foreign financed separatists against a corrupt regime which will nonetheless not lose a popularity contest to these folks! (Nor the MEK types, or even the more telegenic faces following the same agendas being given the microphone in the West).
