    Here we go again...

Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday’ called ‘racist’ for casting black actors as bullies

Director Tim Burton and Netflix are under fire from fans who claim the casting and undertones of the new series “Wednesday” are racist.

The show — a dramedy highlighting Wednesday Addams’ time as a boarding school student — premiered last week to record ratings and mixed reviews.

Critics have taken issue with black actress Joy Sunday playing a mean girl at Nevermore Academy and black actor Iman Marson portraying a bully and the son of a corrupt mayor.

The mayor also owns Pilgrim World — an eyebrow-raising choice considering the museum celebrates pilgrims and colonizers.

    But kudos to Burton's publicist:

A rep for Burton, who served as a director and executive producer of the series, dismissed the flak when contacted by The Post for comment Wednesday.

“I’m not forwarding a comment request this silly to Tim,” Mike Simpson of WME responded.

I've seen all eight episodes and really loved the show, and it never would have occurred to me that the black representation on the show was in any way derogatory. I think the only way to have avoided some sort of racial criticism was to have just made Wednesday Black.

I was in the fan of this I watched two episodes and I was finished with it it wasn't funny the items family was based on comic strip that routinely engaged in dark humor. They turned it into Sabrina and I saw as much of that as I wanted to see.

But in regard to Netflix anybody who says anything is racist Netflix should not listen to those people listening to them has cost them dearly. I don't pay for the service they don't watch the programming.

As usual, our Proggy pals refuse black people adult human agency. They're OBLIGED to be simple-minded and innocent peasants .. no right to choose otherwise.

The real irony is that through the episodes those characters have growth. The bullies turn and become Wednesday allies by the end. Their not giant parts but they're not one dimensional either.

More than one dimension you say? Unacceptable!

Whatever is the world coming to, when the darkies are permitted depth and texture.
