And this guy wants to be president? lol

Looks like DeSantis cared more about his winning reelection in the governor's race then banning all abortions except for rape/incest/mother's health.
He wouldn't even touch the 6 week so-called "heartbeat" law, he'd lose Independent.moderate Dem voters etc.
So much for caring about the right to"life" eh?

I actually genuinely believe this. We need a new party. Republicans have failed us and Democrats have done worse.

The Decleration of Independance is not law and the Constitution.

Imagine how much worse the alternative was for them to get elected

False. It was illegal under common law. Do you know the difference between common law and statutory law? Your argument talks about statutory law. It ignores common law.

The founding Fathers never established the right to life, aka anti-aboriton. It was a Lokean principle in the Treastise of Government and an Essay on Human Nature that the phrase "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" meant something totally different in that day than what you are thinking of. In Locke's own words, he said, "the highest perfection of intellectual nature lies in a careful and constant pursuit of true and solid happiness." Or in other words, to be properly understood of the phrase, we must understand human nature within natural law. And in natural law, that means by exploring our "virtue" as it was implied inthe 17th and 18th centuries. Again, this has nothing to do with abortion, and the phrase is not congruent or advoctes one side or the other on abortion. Never has and never will.

That wasn't a paraphrase.. She blatantly excluded one of the three main tenets of our preamble. And we know why..because right to life is not advocated by the abortion crowd.

    Yeah? And, So What?
What does being an "elected official" have to do with my response?
Being an "elected official" has absolutely nothing to do with (nor was it even mentioned) in the post that I responded to:

Nope. She is concerned with approval of the abortion activists and she's willing to butcher founding principles to get it. It shows her lack of respect for our country and looks bad on her in my opinion. But you may be fine with it.

Of course they will always omit what would be detrimental to their case!

And has to resort to bastardizing the Declaration of Independence and our founding principles to do it.

You require officials to properly refer to our founding principles and quote them correctly and in context? You approve of such bastardization in which she engaged?

It was in this case, why did she have such a need to eliminate the most important of the inherent rights?

Who would even think about invoking the DoI in a speech supporting the taking of innocent life?

Eliminate? Because she did not mention everything in the Declaration of Independence?

That seems a bit of manufactured outrage.

ROFL yes that nothing gap in her citing the DoI and our fundamental inherent rights in a speech about denying one.
