    When we were out in the Big Bend we found tracks where a mountain lion had walked. We stopped to walk around the Nail Ranch and my husband found the track. He/she must have visited there for water.

    This one looks similar to the one we have down the road. The one here looks a little stockier it could be a male. Although from the looks of your male ours is not that large. So it could just be a stocky female.
    Beautiful picture.
    Do you ever put cat food out for them. I would be tempted to do that.
    Do you ever get skunks where you live?I am still amazed at the way the skunks walked around and didn't seem to be afraid of people when we were in the Basin.

    uh... no. But.. we do not have a lot of stray domestics. I'd say they are the most effective animal control vector in my area.

    Having lost Hoover the 3 legged cat on December 18 (we figure he was 11 or 12 years old?) we know we will end up with at least 2 more kittens/cats. They may find us, or we may find them, but the house is just not the same without furbabies.

    Just got my youngest cat back from the vet for they old spay. Granted I know I waited way too long to do it (she is 2.5 years), but she doesn't seem to be taking it to well. Still hiding behind the sofa. Poked her head around corner to eat when I put food there but still won't come out.

    She is coming out more but won't come near me. I used the nuclear weapons of lures to get her out some this evening---I let one of the outside cats in I refer to as her boyfriend because she has been gaga for him from the time she was a kitten. He is not a particular fan of hers but tolerates her. She has always been a bit goofy pre spay. Anyway, she is eating and drinking so at least she is progressing. I assume she is going to the potty some but IDK for certain. I have 3 literboxes and she shares with others so I am not sure whose business is whose.
