The latest word to become racist and prejudiced is: "The". Really.

    Story is at https://www.foxnews.com/media/twitter-users-mock-new-list-dehumanizing-labels-avoid-ap-run-children

"The Associated Press Stylebook was once again mocked on social media after its latest suggestion to do away with terms involving the word "the" to avoid "dehumanizing" people.

The AP Stylebook’s Twitter account, which usually posts guidelines on reporting, officially recommended on Thursday to avoid "'the' labels" when referring to groups including, for some reason, "the French."

"We recommend avoiding general and often dehumanizing ‘the’ labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the French, the disabled, the college-educated. Instead, use wording such as people with mental illnesses. And use these descriptions only when clearly relevant," the tweet read."

How did crap like that come to the point that anyone thinks it matters? While in the meantime, things of critical importance are ignored like they didn't exist?

We gotta do better than this. Total nonsense overwhelming common sense....

How about eliminating "Associated Press" from our language because it sounds racist. Plus "stylebook" is clearly a white doctrine.

Yes- total ignorance and the embracing of stupidity while your house is on fire is hard to understand. Tell me how that works....

No one's house is on fire.

The US is doing better than the rest of the world by miles. We are actually in a better position relative to the rest of the world than we have been in 20 years.

I am worried. Our military suffering because recruitment is way down. We are suffering equipment and ammunition shortages because we have not been buying enough and because we are sending it to the Ukraine. Our manufacturing will likely not be able to get us back up to where we should be for several years.

You must have missed this mornings announcement by the fed that "Real disposable income" fell by more than a trillion last year, and the drop is more precipitous (severe) than any since the worst year of the great depression in 1932..... and there are a multitude of key economic indicators backing that up.

There is a huge bubble here witch the dems are hiding it instead of dealing with. It WILL pop, and the proverbial feces will hit the fan. The handwriting is on the wall. If you can't read, it will hit you anyway.

The entire economic system we know will not exist in 20 years, and there isn't anything we can do to stop that.

It will be a good thing.

Write that somewhere that will still be in front of you is 20 years..... and then when that time has passed, ask yourself how you could have thought things would be better.

There isn't anything we can do to stop it. I suppose, whether it's better or not will depend on how we adapt our culture to the new reality.

The sooner we decide to embrace it, and accept the fact that people will need to get over the notion that a hard day's work should be required to have good life, the better we will be able to prepare for the future.

After a while, you just have to ignore these fools. These are people who are eager to be "insulted." They live for it.

They throw crap on the wall to see if it sticks. If it does, great! They have found one more way to control people. If it doesn't, they look for another way to annoying.

Automation is about to take over most of the jobs in the world.

We better get to figuring that out, because most of us aren't going to be useful.

unlike today, I hope it's a future where libs don't wake up wanting to be the next person to find something offensive or racist. If you can believe it, one college said trees are racist, in another college students said Steve Martin's King Tut video is racist, and yet in several colleges students said a moment of silence on 9/11 is racist towards Muslims. These are the same people who are concerned about misgendering mummies from a thousand years ago.

The people whose feelings are so fragile that they need to protect them from anything and everything have absolutely no problem attacking, violently if need be, people who disagree with them.

A college said trees are racist?

Can colleges speak? I think you man a person said that.

A person none of us would have ever heard anything about 20 years ago.

I have pondered this possibility. My conclusion is this: the people who control the machines will dispose of the useless people. Expect many gigadeaths.

So... robots are going to make all the goods you need. Who is going to buy them? Maintain them?
Do you really think that we will just push a button and machines will do everything free, and send you whatever you need?
If that worked- life would be cheaper in digital age than ever before.

    Robots will maintain the robots.

Ai will do most of the white collar jobs too.

we need to figure out how we are going to adapt as a society.

Even brain surgeons will be replaced by automation.

Then there will be no need for people who make nonsense argument just to be contrary, and you will be unnecessary in that world of efficiency, there for disposed of by it.
Some Sci-fi stuff comes true, some of it is what we used to call "hair-brained".

Every lazy man in the world like your idea, though.

    I'm doing fine, thanks.

When 100 million people in the US are no longer useful in the job market though, it will be all of our problem. We should be having the conversation now, but there are way too many people still in denail.
