Matt Gaetz introduces bill barring Adam Schiff from receiving classified information

Because of the investigation into Trump, Matt Gaetz has introduced a meaningless, sure to fail bill that would bar Schiff from classified information.

Let me rephrase that.

The guy who allegedly sex trafficked a child, with whom he and his friends all had sex with while partaking in illegal drugs, allegedly, is saying a congressman acting within the scope of his duties should not have access to classified materials relevant to his duties.

Rep. Matt Gaetz is pushing a new bill that would restrict former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s access to classified information over his “baseless claims” of collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

The PENCIL Resolution, an apparent riff off of Trump’s derisive “Pencil-Neck” nickname for Schiff, stands for Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses Resolution. It calls for Schiff (D-Calif.) not to have access to classified information, for him to be investigated by the House Ethics Committee, and to have comments he made in Congress on Russian collusion and the Trump campaign stricken from the record.

“Congressman Adam Schiff led the effort for years to weaponize lies from the Clinton campaign and a corrupt Department of Justice to smear President Trump while destroying any trust the country had left in America’s intelligence agencies,” a press release from Gaetz (R-Fla.) on Thursday read.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) refused to reappoint Schiff to the intelligence panel on Tuesday in a long-anticipated move, citing a lack of “integrity” and his “misuse of this panel” during the Trump administration.

“Speaker McCarthy kept his promise to remove Rep. Schiff from the Intelligence Committee, and with the PENCIL Resolution, we will express the sense of Congress that he should be barred from accessing any classified information at all. He can no longer be trusted by his colleagues in Congress or the American people,” said Gaetz.

 

Probably a smart idea. Schiff will likely be looking for retaliation.

 

Schiff notoriously lied to the American People, both about the intel he didn't have and the public information that he did have(The Trump letter). I concur with the Freedom Caucus that he does not deserve security clearances. Those come with expectation and appropriate behavior.

 

Why doesn't that ****ing moron know that it is not up to the house to decide and that such idiocy can not pass as a law anyway?

 

What is a "notorious lie"? What were these "notorious lies"?

Trying to think how an alleged child rapist should be the arbiter of who can access material relevant to their jobs. Any thoughts?

This is a bill of attainder. It's unconstitutional.

 

He stated publicly, numerous times to have had direct evidence of collussion with the Russians. He had none. He also lied about the contents of the Trump letter during the Ukraine episode. Schiff is basically Pinocchio

 

The evidence is in plain sight. Does that ring a bell?

As for allegations against Gaetz that didn’t go anywhere, if you’re so worried about kids, then stop grooming them in schools and drag bars. And for god’s sake, keep them away from Biden, both of them.

But don’t worry. Soon Schiff will be the junior senator from California. He’s talking of replacing Diane Feinstein who has been in office since the Civil War.

Oh, and I nearly forgot. Schiff appeared on the Chinese Communist spy site, Tick Toc, asking for political contributions. I guess the Chinese Communists are okay in Adam Schiff’s book.

So "the evidence is in plain sight" is a definitive statement of what? Sounds fairly rhetorical to me.

 

He’s saying positively the evidence of collusion with Russia is in plain sight. It sounds like the guy who was leading the coup was speaking factually.

Schiff was a prosecutor in CA. Because of his reputation for lying about the facts and altering evidence, every conviction of his should be reviewed. The pro criminal people should love that.

 

I'm not precisely sure why you put the phrase 'baseless claims' in quotes, because as we all now know, the whole "Russia, Russia, Russia" thing was a hoax from the word go. Do you disagree with that assessment?
