Myself and others have posted about this case in the past. This sentence seems light for what happened. Could it embolden extremists on Left toward further violence:

It was left-wing violence so they got to slap on the wrist.

a lawyer that made a plea deal, doesn't surprise me he got off easy

sure the DA thought the case was risky as it only takes one juror to hang the jury, it takes 12 to get a guilty verdict, so the DA took the sure thing

it's posible, like the voters that voted for dead people that voted for trump got a slap on the wrist, cause they voted for Trump

the reality is, in those areas the DA sometimes has to take what they can get in high profile cases

The topic is also not Trump but that doesn't stop you from constantly deflecting to him

Fire bombing a police car seems like an insurrection to me.

According to you deflecting to Trump is always consistent with whatever topic you can imagine.

    Fresh air channel...

You were replying to me and I was directly discussing the topic and here you come with your Trump infatuation like you do in almost every single thread you participate in.... And in probably 30 or 40% of your post overall.

Here is our entire exchange in the exact order it happened. Remember this is in the exact order because you seem to be confused about what that is. Now you have a good evening because I don't have any more time for such things.

And remember everyone can read this thread and see the exact order so before you start trying to mix things up you should at least wait until page number two

and here is your reply directly to my above post.
    my very next reply...
and here is your next reply followed again by mine...
and here it is again in the exact order

as I said, I was on topic

I would not reply to your constantly blaming all the left, bringing up Hillary, Obama or Hunter in every topic as the "Fat Back Channel"

Now to return to the topic and get us away from the infatuation with Trump.....

This sentence is obviously way too light for the crime and it is obvious that it has political motivations

If a 1/6er can get years in prison then so should insurrectionists who deliberately destroyed gov property.

zero proof to the claim of the poster I replied to as well, that is why I used the "it's possible" in my reply

Federal sentencing guidelines are much more different than state sentencing guidelines.

My guess: job, occupation, income, wealth, a good argument for rehabilitation, first time offense, and a few others, hence why the sentence is what its is. And he will probably be sent to Federal Prison camp for that duration too.

But that is how federal sentencing guidelines work in the federal district court.

Now, here is the kicker. The Senior US District Judge Brian Cogan was appointed to the position in 2006 and confirmed by the US Senate. And he is also the same judge who presided over the El Chapo case and sentenced him to life without the possibility of parole.

The El Chapo sentence was a no brainer. I hear he wants to serve his sentence in Mexico and Mexico is considering it. Don’t know if that changed and I doubt the US would let it happen anyway.
