Sez you. But that has not been decided by the courts. The SCOTUS has said that most amendments have already been limited by law in a Constitutionally-compliant way. And now the 2nd needs such limitation. And yet, as I said, all law contributes to the orderly operation of capitalism.

If you want to understand what the left is, go back and read the work of the Reece Committee Report from the 1950's investigations into anti American, Communist activities in the US.

    Specifically the Dodd Report.

Norman Dodd was the principle investigator for the committee. When he was able to follow the money back to the US Banking and Business Foundations, i.e. The Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Carnegie, Mellon, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, et al...

That is when the s**t hit the fan.

The left has been funded and controlled by the world's financial elites for over 100 years.

Once you understand that, all you need to do is ask why and start pulling on a thread.

It is why I have been trying to explain to you guys for all these years why things always run the same predictable course.

Search up the Dodd Report and you'll be able to start putting the pieces together from 1913 to today.

Yes, lets start up McCarthyism 2.0

If you want to understand AbsaByGodLutely nothing check into that crap. If you want to understand today's progressives try reading some unbiased history and stop depending on RW media for how you view more than half of your countrymen.

The "Dodd Report" spells out how the wealthy used tax free foundations to promote political agenda favorable to favors FOR the wealthy; and they still do. People like the Koch brothers have organized a cartel of wealthy political activists that use Tax Free Foundations (OUR TAX DOLLARS) to starve government AND promote their interests all at the same time. Primairaly these people have donated to Republicans, that is why Mitch McConnell's number one, and only (really) goal was to pass the big tax bill at the beginning of tRaitor tRumps maladministration. And, was the ONLY thing of substance he accomplished during his tenure.

How you can turn this inside out and blame liberal/progressives is an unbelievable level of naivety.

I has quite a few very respectable professors throughout my education. What they most often taught wasn't anything in specific, but more importantly how to learn and focus on the truth.

    Wikipedia is not your friend.

You've obviously never read the Dodd Report, nor do you understand what the purpose of the Reece Committee was.

I'll help you out later as I'm too busy right now ;)

The purpose of opposition in government, and I am talking GOOD opposition here is to do what the late great Don Chipp (Aussie Pollie) said

Really? Well, when you get un-busy I'm interested in what you have to say. I have read the Dodd report and find it vague and slanderous, with little substance for it's accusations but innuendo. It seems to mesh perfectly with McCarthyism.

You can listen to Dodd yourself - how hard was that??

He's 83 years old, a little short of breath, and not backing up your story in the least, lol...

So no, you have not read the Dodd Report, because he was a patriot and well known to be opposed to the unamerican goals of the Bankers he used to work for.

It's very dry and unentertaining, but as I am in fact busy, I don't have time to do a bunch of CP to rub your nose in it - but that too isn't very difficult to look up if you're not pathetically lazy. So, give it a try.

It’s you that hasn’t read the Dodd report. Listening to hi now, in old age, trying to justify his vague and slanderous report isn’t the same as reading it, as published. At best the Dodd report is meaningless innuendo.

I asked ChatGPT (openAI) about your post.

    My questions were as follows;

Is the title a valid question?

Does the content support the title?

ChatGPT, please provide a counter argument indicating the flaws in the reasoning, if any exist,
employed in the argument given by person X (you).

    CHATGPT's response:

The title "The Purpose of the Left" is a valid question as it is asking for an examination of the goals and intentions of individuals or groups who identify as being on the political left. However, the content provided by person X presents a biased and narrow view of the Left and its intentions [emphasis added].

The content suggests that the Left is only good at "tearing things apart" and is "clueless" about creating workable societies, which is not a fair or accurate representation of the diverse range of beliefs and goals held by those on the political Left. Additionally, the content implies that the Left is solely responsible for the corruption of major institutions in the West, which is also not a fair or accurate representation.

A counter argument to the reasoning employed by person X could point out that the Left is not a monolithic group and therefore, it's not fair to make sweeping generalizations about their intentions and abilities. Additionally, it could be argued that the corruption of major institutions in the West is a complex issue that cannot be solely attributed to one political ideology or group. Furthermore, it is not fair to blame the Left for the failure of certain policies without considering the context in which they were proposed and implemented.

It is important to recognize that political ideologies are complex and multifaceted, and therefore, it is important to approach discussions about them with an open mind, a willingness to consider multiple perspectives and an understanding of the nuances and complexities involved.

And that, impermanence, is stated far better, without left or right bias, than I could have done. My response would have been far more critical

I asked ChatGPT, (from Open AI systems) an AI program, what you are, essentially, implying, that working for the government equals leeching off taxpayers.

ChatGPT, question: Is it accurate to assert that working for the government equals 'leeching off of taxpayers"?

    ChatGPT's response:

It is not accurate to assert that working for the government automatically equals "leeching off of taxpayers." Government employees, like all workers, are providing a service or fulfilling a role that is deemed necessary for the functioning of society. Government employees may include teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel, and many other professionals who play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of society. These employees are paid with tax dollars, but they also contribute to society and economy by providing essential services.

It can be argued that the taxes paid by citizens and businesses are used to fund necessary public goods and services that benefit the entire community, such as infrastructure, education, public safety, and healthcare. Government employees are responsible for providing these services, and they deserve to be compensated fairly for their work, just like any other worker.

It is important to note that while all government employees are paid with tax dollars, not all of them are "leeching off" the system. This is a stereotype with no basis in fact. It is also important to consider the fact that many people who work in the private sector also receive government benefits, such as tax breaks and subsidies, which could be seen as "leeching off the system" from a different perspective.

ChatGPT's response is far better, more fairly stated without left or right bias, than I could have ever countered your post. My response would have been more brutal.

I would like to add on the last line regarding entitlements, which are necessary if we deem a society that provides for the elderly and disabled, and those who, by whatever misfortune (other than laziness, of course) cannot support themselves, there is a support system, a safety net, and this net benefits society in the sense that it's a compassionate society that cares about it's citizens, and provides support systems, job programs for those with initiative, etc., all of which adds to the concept called 'a civilized society' which is to the benefit of all.

For those who claim the argument that 'well, but the safety net is paid for with other people's money, my money and I don't feel it's right for you to tell me how my money should be spent', the counter argument is that the society we live in is achieved democratically. This is what democracy is. It's not a perfect system, it has serious flaws, but like Churchill (or whoever it was) said, "Democracy's a terrible system, but all the others are far worse". So, Not all policies will be approved by everyone. Not all taxes will go for things that will be approved by everyone, we all have our complaints with the system and how the government is run, and so I say to you, welcome to the club.

The point is, your retort is a rather narrow stereotypical view of government workers.

You mean the guy that advocated that you should do that on an individual level as part of the Walk between you and your creator?

Yes I don't think that he would really care for the government compelling anyone to do it.

Now replace the word left with the word right and you could apply that to about 90% of your post as well

The bottom line with the left is that they should be viewed as infantry for the global Elites.

Consider someone like George Soros - Billionaire, rabidly anti American, rabidly anti-freedom.

George Soros is visible, he is a facilitator - in terms of the Establishment hierarchy he is not a decision maker. He carries out assignments, plays his role, and is rewarded accordingly.

He distributes funding to street level infantry like Antifa and BLM.

The Antifa and BLM troops are produced on the college campuses.

Think of the college experience as boot camp, and the college professors as Drill Sargents.

Which brings us back to Dodd - as his research showed that the Tax Exempt Foundations were using their grant making power to alter college curriculum from being pro-American to be anti-American.

In America folk pool resources to fund the armed forces.
That is about as left wing as you can get.

So now the Dodd Report is meaningless innuendo??

Just because you don't like what's in it doesn't mean it isn't true, or that it is "slanderous".

I thought you said the investigation into the Tax Exempt Foundations was to expose how the Foundations were used to benefit the wealthy??

    -------------------------

I tried linking a pdf of The Dodd Report, but for some reason couldn't, so I'm forced to rely on your untrustworthy friend wikipedia.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uni...empt_Foundations_and_Comparable_Organizations

The final report was submitted by Norman Dodd, and because of its provocative nature, the committee became subject to attack. In the Dodd report to the Reece Committee on Foundations, he gave a definition of the word "subversive", saying that the term referred to "Any action having as its purpose the alteration of either the principle or the form of the United States Government by other than constitutional means." He then argued that the Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and Carnegie Endowment were using funds excessively on projects at Columbia, Harvard, University of Chicago and the University of California, in order to enable oligarchical collectivism. He stated, "The purported deterioration in scholarship and in the techniques of teaching which, lately, has attracted the attention of the American public, has apparently been caused primarily by a premature effort to reduce our meager knowledge of social phenomena to the level of an applied science."[6]

He stated that his research staff had discovered that in "1933–1936, a change took place which was so drastic as to constitute a 'revolution'. They also indicated conclusively that the responsibility for the economic welfare of the American people had been transferred heavily to the Executive Branch of the Federal Government; that a corresponding change in education had taken place from an impetus outside of the local community, and that this 'revolution' had occurred without violence and with the full consent of an overwhelming majority of the electorate."[7] He also stated that this revolution "could not have occurred peacefully, or with the consent of the majority, unless education in the United States had been prepared in advance to endorse it."

His post is not one I would have ever made about the right, so your point is moot insofar as I am concerned.
