And another source said the woman heard him 'muttering' racial slurs. So which was it? Screaming or muttering? Or did it even happen at all because it seems just one witness mentioned this and the police interviewed other witnesses who did not hear anything.

THat is not how hate crimes work in the United States as indicated by the California Penal Code for a hate crime. Second, if one person murders another person, that is a homicide in which felony capital murder would be charged once the police identified the person who committed the crime and have collected enough evidence for a PC arrest for the crime. Then it is up to the court system to convict the person or the person can plead guilty.

So, playing word games here is not going to help you Dixon.
