You could have fooled me because US liberals anyways always seem to be angry and bitter about something.

 

I'm no longer a political animal but when I was, I described myself as Social Democratic and Progressive and an Idealist. I stand by almost everything I said and stood for (almost because not being open to possibly being wrong is unhealthy).

Since I lost my election really badly in 2019, I became cynical and nihilistic about politics. I hate humanity in general.

People I admired like Nelson Mandela only undo all the horrible things their predecessors did.

 

Maybe it is a country thing...because recent studies showed that somewhere around 62% of white liberals are mentally ill.

Well I'm not sure why you would compare them to monkeys.... But I do know that people that are perpetually pissed off about something or other tend to be unhappy.

Anger and happiness are like oil and water, they don't exist in the same time and place. And to the extent that they do they certainly do not mix

let's start with the fact that your first comment is an oxymoron, by no means is "good sense" common and any other sort is just thinly veiled dogma. as for "development". just what sort of development are you talking about? the development of the atomic bomb? the developments that tear down massive tracts of pristine forest and meadowland to erect centers of overpopulation and urban blight? finally we get to that common buzz-word that the ignorant constantly utilize to hide their lack of foresight, "progress". progress is simply forward movement and forward is just a direction. whether such motion is good or bad is determined by what is in front of you. if enlightenment and understanding is in that direction, then great. if it is merely another cliff edge leading to wreck and ruin, then i suggest you take a few steps back.

So the article doesn't actually say that. Mental health evaluations do not mean one is mentally ill.

Evaluation is making a judgement or assessment of something. Having assessed one's mental health it may turn out one is mentally more stable than another.
