Dear Steve,

Thanks for writing to the president about black on black murders. As I've often stated in the White House press room, the problem was caused by the previous administration and the current republicans in congress refuse to fix the problem they caused, most likely due to racism.

I did, however, get a verbal response directly from President Biden and ran it through a speech-to-text application and attached it to this email.

Some simply don't want to admit that Blacks killing other Blacks SHOULD be talked about.
Why?

What happened to No Justice, No Peace? Or don't their lives matter when they kill one another? How come famous Blacks rarely blink an eye to the black on black carnage happening in urban cities? Where's Oprah, Whoopie, Barrack and Michelle? Why are they silent? Are they pretending the problem doesn't exist?

Two things here:

1. No celebrity is obligated to speak out or do anything for anybody. Nor are they responsible for someone or any group of people.

2. How old are you, bro? I’m gonna assume you’re super old because no one in 2023 uses the word “Negro” to refer to black people. Whatever time era you’re from, it’s over, so act like it.

 

It sure seems that way. Why doesn’t it matter though?

 

1) Nobody said they’re.obligated
The thread premise asks why famous blackw aren’t asking WHY blacks are killing other blacks in Chicago and other large cities.

2) Who cares? That has zilch to do with the thread topic.

 

There's a very simple answer to this.

Politics.

There's nothing to be gained politically and so they don't care.

Let's not make this more complicated than it is.

 

And the second thing I said in my opening post was how do you know that this isn’t talked about? Maybe they do it privately or something behind the scenes.

You know sir, I have noticed since I’ve been here that there seems to be a lot of anti-black people sentiment from a lot of people on this forum, and I gotta say it makes me unhappy, especially since a lot of other forums out there have rules against that and just kicked people out for that kind of stuff. But here it seems like it’s tolerated and even welcomed. Not sure why that is.

 

I hear black celebrities talking about this. A lot of athletes, too. I concede they need to organize and get louder. I do hear it, though.

I’m not going to hunt down all the times I’ve heard this conversation in the last several years to “prove” it to you. I already agree that what’s happening is not enough.
