Ah, so you apparently just consider it some kind of novelty such as twerking so does not matter.

And thank you, is so nice to know that there is no carjacking in Australia either.

My goodness, you have the most Candide-Polyanna belief that there is absolutely no crime where you live. Nobody uses guns, nobody does home invasions, nobody does carjackings.

I am almost literally at a loss for words. You really do not live in the real world. It is either a fantasyland of your own creation, or you must live in some uber-rich gated community where you are completely isolated.

And with your delusions that there is no crime where you live, you turn attack other countries. Absolutely unbelievable.

Most politicians that promote gun control have never fired a gun. Some very notable politicians that promote gun control, however, are somewhat expert with firearms.

You seem to struggle with what I am saying. Reminds me of my step father. If I told him, ' Cops are going to have stun guns' then he would say, 'But it's not going to stop crime, is it?' I never said anything about ending crime. Same with car jacking, home invasions etc.. I am not saying we don't have such things, but it's not a cultural thing, not on the scale of societies where these things are common. Same with people walking around with pistols, or mass gang violence etc..

OK, so now you say that most of the murders are caused by cops with guns?

All I see from you is what I ever see. Almost nonsensical claims and spinning in circles, and refusing to ever address facts.

And by now, I do not believe you are ever going to actually address facts. Just spin in circles with even more nonsensical claims, and even ignoring facts when handed right to you.

I write, "...If I told him, ' Cops are going to have stun guns' " (tasers actually)
you write, "]OK, so now you say that most of the murders are caused by cops with guns?"

Mostly I laugh at gun control because it is fake. It is not even the guns we need to control, it is the criminals.

Over and over the shooters that are involved in incidents should never have had a gun in the first place. And absolutely nothing is being done to stop criminals or the mentally ill from having guns.

For example, if cops were allowed to be more proactive the recent shooting in Texas would never have happened. They had actually responded, but simply warned the guy and left. If they had been able to determine he was an illegal alien, he could have been taken into custody before the shooting even happened in the first place. And not because he was an "illegal alien" but because he was an illegal alien with a firearm, a felony in and of itself.

But I can also picture the screams of rage from many if that had happened. They would probably paint it that he was minding his own business in his own yard, and the cops just swarmed in and arrested him. And of course the shooting would never have happened.

I happen to think that simply being an illegal in a place where they should not be (i.e., anywhere inside the US of A) is good enough to pick them up. They probably have committed a crime, maybe a felony, and should be deported in any event. Deportation of illegals when identified should be the default.

So do I. But your crime problem has not gone unnoticed by the world. Personally I prefer my constitutional rights unmolested. Our governor fires DAs that refuse to do their job so hopefully criminals will stay in New York

I was born and raised in New York. I remember taking the subway anywhere in New York with my friends when I was just a kid. No problem. Then certain parts became uninhabitable... like the South Bronx or Harlem. I remember the First NYC blackout in the 60's. I was a part time office boy during the summer in my Dad's Con Ed Office on 126th Street. Some gang guys demanded my wallet. I gladly turned it over... preferable to hospitalization... or worse. Now NY is a jungle.

Democrats have turned over the city to scumbags. The great cities of yesterday are being abandoned by decent working Americans. It’s maddening to see the smug elitist race baiting left wing gangsters preside over the destruction of this country while they smile about social Justice.
They see the desolation as a victory because deep down they hate this country.

I actually had to laugh when the Joker movie came out in 2019, as it even opened with the Warner Brother's logo appropriate to the era.

And I remember how often New York was in the news in that era. Multiple strikes of garbage collectors and cops, gang out of control and running most of the city, gang rapes in Central Park and murder rates higher than that of many states.

Almost nobody went to Time's Square in that era, it was a hell hole and all the theaters showed nothing but porn. Crime was so bad that the cops had largely given up, and you even had civilians like the Guardian Angels taking over and patrolling the streets.

Yes, at the moment TS is "gentrified", but it can also only be a matter of time before it sinks back to what it had been before. I know in my life I have seen Hollywood sink, recover, and sink again multiple times.

But yes, I am sure that most of those that watched Joker thought it was just a satire. But the Gotham that they presented really was what New York City was like in that time period.

Heck, at one time Oakland was known as the "Harlem of the West", as like Harlem it was a great area to live in and had a lively nightlife. In the current era, I always hated when I had to drive through Oakland. The last time I had to stay there I did not even lock my truck. There was nothing inside worth stealing, and it would have cost me more to replace the window than anything they could take.

That's odd. You see, I used to live there, and still have friends who do. To a person, every single person I've spoken with has said that it's starting to look like the 1980s all over again in NYC. It's dangerous just to take the 2 train from S. Ferry to 34th St. Or anywhere else, for that matter. They all tell me they go where they HAVE to, for business or whatever, but they don't go out in the City anymore if they can avoid it. And from the NYC news I see here in the Eff Ell Aay, I think if I still lived there (and I'm glad I don't for so very many reasons), I would probably be planning to move. Hell, I already did, and the reasons for that still exist (cost of living, grossly excessive taxation, lefty laws, giveaway programs, refusal to prosecute, etc.), plus a whole lot more, now. Even once they finally start following the USSC's rulings on guns, and I'd be hypothetically allowed to carry, I'd still be looking to get out if I wasn't already.

I enjoyed the time I lived there, but it's 'the good old days' in comparison now.

    Hi, DentalFloss.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my post. I was out and about today, with nary a thought about personal safety from my fellow Americans.

Regards, best wishes to you and yours.
