If you say so, but corporations like to cover their rears a little better than that, but what do you know. And no, its typically not a meeting, but rather just a piece of paper you are asked to acknowledge. Of course people will tell you they are not dicks, but if they turn of to be a dick, you can easily fire them for violating the rules of the road, as opposed to have their victim sue the company. Man, you really don't know how this nation operates.....

    Cry me a river.

I delete parts of posts which are irrelevant to the conversation, or if they are 'rabbit trails' intended to derail the discussion entirely. In this case we were talking diversity pamphlets, and the other poster tried to make it about hiring practices, when it has literally nothing to do with it. I am not into following ever rabbit trail, but you can do right ahead/

The Supreme Court recently ruled that “sex” when used in this manner protects LGBT kids from discrimination as well. But, don't let the facts get in the way of your argument. If this was your reason to oppose the bill you can start supporting it now. You're welcome.

Uhhh Cannot treat others without respect.

    Seems pretty straightforward.

In cause you haven’t noticed it, FL is kind of going off the handle to target groups they don’t like and business that speak ill of the local government.

But I am sure that isn’t it — you just agree with it.

So no response to the highest court in America alleviating your concern with this bill. Just doom and gloom prophecies. Got it.

The point is this law doesn't treat people with respect.
"Woke people" (whatever they are) are not respected.
Teachers, librarians and professors are not respected.
    Health professionals are not respected.
    News reporters are not respected.
People of color are not respected.
People who dress differently are not respected.
People that love people of the same gender are not respected.
Those communities whose local governments don't agree with the governer aren't respected

This law is about political control and power, not about respect

Well, some of these folks don't think you have a right to disagree with them.

REMEMBER WHEN PEOPLE SAID IT WAS GOOD TO SPEND MONEY ON HIGHER EDUCATION BECAUSE IT PROMOTES CAREFUL THINKING: Godwin’s Law Goes Woke: UT-Austin Prof Says Objecting To Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Is “Modern Day Lynching.”

Some claim that if you have a different opinion, that you are 'committing genocide.'

    Stop Woke Act Partially Stopped:

'Chief U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker, writing for the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Florida, Tallahassee Division, then issued an injunction against enforcing that provision. "Normally, the First Amendment bars the state from burdening speech, while private actors may burden speech freely," Walker wrote. "But in Florida, the First Amendment apparently bars private actors from burdening speech, while the state may burden speech freely."'

Looks like this may need some more work.

Very true. The attitude these days is that many groups in the above list should NOT be respected, but rather be treated as the enemy,

All of those other characteristics listed in the bill are also already specifically listed, why the need to relist them?

I just wish any of you could discuss anything in good faith — ever. We both know why that specific group was admitted but sure, feign ignorance.

    Omittted?

They used similar language as the Civil Rights Act which the highest court in America has determined includes sexual orientation. Complaining for the sake of complaining doesn't get you anywhere. I'll ask again, are you against the Civil Rights Act for the same reason?

    U. Florida K-12 teaching course emphasizes ‘oppression, power, and privilege.’

'Education class uses pro-LGBT, anti-cop organization for ‘gender diversity’ lessons'

'A University of Florida course trains future K-12 teachers to consider “oppression, power, and privilege” in their profession and create “inclusive” classrooms for LGBT students with material from leftist authors and activists.'

THEY SEEM INTERESTED IN EVERYTHING BUT ACADEMICS.

'These groups support the abolition of law enforcement and trains members on how to hide LGBT identification from parents. Students are required to read this document as part of the unit on “gender diversity.”'

'It promotes student organizations known as Gay-Straight Alliances or Gender and Sexuality Alliances. These organizations unsuccessfully tried to defeat Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, which forbade classroom discussion of gender and sexuality through third grade'

    NOT SURPRISING

UF’s course “a prime example” of education curricula “that prioritize division over educational excellence”

TIME TO PRIORITIZE EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE OVER POLITICAL DIVISION THAT SERVES THE ILLICIT INTERESTS OF THE DNC

There is nothing wrong with the bill. The Groomers like to engage in performative outrage.

At DeSantis' urging, Florida lawmakers protect kids; Left deliciously apoplectic

    https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https://hot...tect-kids-left-deliciously-apoplectic-n548768

Americans are firmly behind DeSantis and Florida. The Washington Post-KFF poll, shows 'how the public overwhelmingly supports the position staked out by DeSantis and the Legislature’s Republican supermajority. To recap: Don’t abuse children.'

How hard is that? Don't. Abuse. The. Children.

'A majority of Americans disapprove of “gender-affirming care” for children and minors,' as well they should, it's not 'care' its mutilation and destruction.

'Nearly 7 in 10 adults said they oppose allowing children ages 10 to 14 access to medication that stops the body from going through puberty, and nearly 6 in 10 oppose giving 15- to 17-year-olds access to hormone treatments. '

Actually, it's not complicated at all.

'Americans would rather youngsters who are viewed as insufficiently experienced and mature to decide about buying alcohol, voting, entering a casino, applying for a loan or serving on a jury also to not make lifelong decisions about permanently altering their bodies. '

DeSantis has the issues perfectly in hand: 'Florida’s bill neatly threads that needle, banning hormone treatments, puberty blockers and surgeries for minors (and making it a felony to provide such services) while attaching no limitations to counseling.'

“Honestly, it’s like, seriously, some of this stuff is just totally manufactured. And when you talk to people — and I know like people in your industry will dress it up with a euphemism — and they’ll say it’s healthcare, to cut off the private parts of a 14 or 15 year old,” DeSantis said.

'“That is not healthcare. That is mutilation and we’re standing up against that,” DeSantis said Friday — the last day of the state’s legislative session.'

'Ron DeSantis is signing a bill to ban doctors from performing double mastectomies and other irreversible surgeries on children. It also bans sterilizing kids.'

'The wokes are, of course, upset that they will no longer be allowed to mutilate children.'

I live in Florida but work in Louisiana. My company is compelling us all to do this ridiculous training. I of course refused. I’m glad DeSantis is heading this off.
Fire me for being late, not working or not joining a union. But don’t fire me for not admitting to fake white guilt.
I won’t be bullied by thought police.
