Child sex trafficking is a huge issue. It’s a major problem that needs to be addressed more. This movies success is very important in getting the message out.

 

I’m glad that the numbers show continued success for this film. It is drawing attention to a big problem. I’m going later today to add to its success. I’ve spent my entire nearly 38 year career so far working with kids and teens as a group home counselor, behavioral assistant in non public schools for at risk kids and more. In my job the first 33 years before the agency I worked for left my area and me laid off, I got trainings about the child sex trade and what was being done about it then and more importantly how to work with survivor kids in recovery placement. So yes, this issue is a big one to me. I still work with kids now but with ones with different situations and yes being aware of the trade and the risk it can be to any kid anywhere makes the mocking of this as an issue a pathetic outrage.

I am an Aussie - we have a special force that retrieve children taken overseas - and it is not just child trafficking but child marriage - which is a major issue as we have a lot of middle eastern communities etc

I wonder if Rotten Tomatoes will be called 'Qanon adjacent' ...or maybe 'theocratic', since Caviezel is one of the better known outspokenly Christian movie stars and the movie is apparently 'faith based' (not sure what that means exactly... maybe it just doesn't have tits in it?).

He became one of my favorite actors based solely on Person of Interest before I knew anything about his spirituality, politics, etc. Good show, btw.
