ISW estimates a Russian-Ukrainian casualty ratio of 3:1 since the war began. Ukraine's increasingly sophisticated arsenal and declining Russian troop quality likely suggest a negative trend for Russia in that ratio.

 

All Ukrainian males were declared obligated to military service from the outset of the war. There has been no opposition to recruitment; the only bottleneck has been training capacity.
