Trump Legal Advisers Tell Him Press Conference On Georgia Indictment Is A Bad Idea

Shortly after he and his 18 con-conspirators were hit with the Georgia indictment, Donald Trump took to social media to announce that he intends to hold a Monday press conference to refute Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ allegations.

In a Truth Social post Trump announced he would hold the press conference to present, “A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia.”

But the former president’s legal advisors are reportedly urging him to cancel the press conference and telling him that holding it will only complicate his legal problems, according to sources who spoke to ABC News.

Trump’s past claims about fraud in Georgia have already been debunked so it remains unclear what exactly will be in the report he mentioned in his post.

But, according to the New York Times, the document in question is more than 100 pages long and was compiled at least in part by Liz Harrington — a Trump communications aide who is often described as a true believer in the Big Lie.

A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT.........IOW, a pack of lies.

    Rift #2?

He was pissed that his lawyer did not demand the removal of the J6 judge and now he will be pissed that they won't let him screw up whatever "defense" he might have in GA?

Not a good sign when those on the same side are bickering BEFORE the indictment has even been charged in court?

Correction; He changes his mind after he fed your mind with more B.S., and judging from your posts, he sure does controls your mind.

The invention by Bannon of the fictitious "deep state" term was part of his nihilistic impulse to dismantle the country's bureaucracy. You fell for it.

Why Steve Bannon Wants You to Believe in the Deep State
    https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/03/steve-bannon-deep-state-214935/

Like the Death Star, the American Deep State does not, of course, exist. An appropriation from countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan and Algeria, where real networks of intelligence, defense and interior ministry officials exercise real power to drive policy, sideline elected officials and eliminate opponents, the American Deep State is nothing more than an invention of President Donald Trump and his allies—the convenient enemy from within that they blame for their frustrations. The leaks that undid former national security adviser Michael Flynn? That was the Deep State. Reports of extensive contacts between the Trump campaign and all manner of other smears? The Deep State. The president is said to be irate about this rear-guard action led by, in the words of White House press secretary Sean Spicer, Obama administration holdovers who have “burrowed in” and “continue to espouse the agenda of the previous administration.” Trump’s unshakable certainty that his Trump Tower phone has been tapped seems to be rooted—disingenuously or not—in this belief.

Mr. Donald Trump's loyal followers may, some of them at least, feel a bit like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football away.

Yet, like Charlie, they'll fall for it again and again.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

You apparently didn't read what I said. I don't give a rip who popularized it but it's been a thing for about 60 years.

That's what I was fully expecting if he actually went through with it. "And this woman, she voted for me twice!"

Basically the plethora of alphabet agencies including the Justice Department agencies (FBI, CIA, and at least 40 others) that pretty much run their own show with no accountability since Congress figured out in the mid-60s that actually legislating is a career hazard. At that point Congress created largely unaccountable alphabet agencies of career bureaucrats to handle the details while Congress simply funds them.

Surprising that an expert like you didn't know that.

Those agencies are largely staffed by career professionals who carry out their day to day functions under the leadership of agency heads chosen by the sitting prez. Suggesting they are not held to account for their actions is factually incorrect. So far you have not mentioned any nefarious activities engaged in by the various agencies.

No… more like the Salem witches when they burned them at the stake or threw them in to drown… if they survived they were witches but innocent if died…
That is liberal logic in a nutshell.

By the way, since you know everything, can you tell me where in the Clean Air Act it lists CO2 as a pollutant? Where did Congress authorize its regulation?

No, no nefarious activities at EPA.

    Hi, popscott.

A secular humanist, I identify neither as liberal nor as conservative. To me, there is logic and illogic. I am unaware of liberal logic or, for that matter, conservative logic.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

I've seen this observation before. I find it to be fatuous. Chemically speaking, CO2 is not a pollutant. But at the current level (and rising) in the atmosphere it is causing global warming. Is that simple enough for you?

That's not what I asked. If CO2 is to be regulated it should be specifically mentioned and the limits of that regulation should be specifically included in the authorizing Congressional act. You should be able to point out where that happens in the CAA and also easily access the specific Congress people who voted it in. That's the way it's supposed to work.

If EPA is comprised of truly morally righteous folk, you as a citizen should very easily be able to tell me where and when that happened.

So go on, give it a shot.

And by the way, this predates Steve Bannon and the Trump Administration. And that's where the Deep State lives.

Gosh, that's just absurd. You're equating environmental regulation with what is generally recognized as the meaning behind the term deep state being a "body of people, typically influential members of government agencies or the military, believed to be involved in the secret manipulation or control of government policy." How you became so lost I have no idea.

There is an entire WARREN of Conspiracies that can be accessed from any of their rabbit hole entrances.

Once down there it seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to climb out ever again.

    How ironic

so you believe calling out an individual that is a known liar, to be a liar, is them living in someone’s head. But defending them for six years after it is shown that they are lying, isn’t?

One side is laughing at this and the other side is simply doubling down. I’ll let you pick which is which.
