Perhaps not. The likelihood is that instant karma will hit our friend at some point and that person will understand that we live with major risks all the time and ignore it. Many if not most of us live sheltered lives but one day reality always pays a visit. Both of my parents grew up during the great depression and Aunts and Uncles during the same time time period so I was probably fortunate to have some grounding in reality from these people that the young liberals of today seem to lack.

I don't think polls matter in the least. The election system on all likely swing states is sufficiently rigged to insure a Democrat victory. As long as anyone with a pulse can be registered and ballots don't require signatures that match registrations there can be enough Democrat ballots manufactured to "protect democracy" under any and all circumstances. The 2024 race will, like the 2020 race, see huge public support for Trump, little to no public support for Biden and a 15-20 point Biden win.

 

So looking forward to hearing how he ended the Vietnam War. lol

Polls are done to tell people what to think and cause people to do things. There is only one poll which will matter - November 5, 2024.

 

I agree, it’s long past time for Biden to move on, he was elected as a transition president. Someone between Trump and whoever came next. It’s also time for Trump to fade away into oblivion. He should have done that after his 2020 election defeat. Pelosi finally stepped down which is good, McConnell continues to hang on which is bad. This country needs to be rid of all of these old foggies. It’s high past time for fresh, younger blood.
