Certainly technological progress is taking its toll. And soon there will be no need not only for contact with bank employees, but also no need for truckers, cab drivers, train drivers...etc. Screenwriters and actors in Hollywood have just finished striking. Salesmen won't be needed any time soon either. Even police and soldiers will soon be replaced by technology.
