IF you would have watched an unedited version, you would have seen that the officers that were helping her in your edited version, had left and were descending the stairs, the stairs she was laying at the top of. When they heard the gunshot they ran back upstairs and began administering first aid. The point is there were no officers at the outside of the entrance to the Speakers lobby when Ms Babbitt was shot.

The officer that shot her was the sole and last defender between an angry manic mob and Congress at the time Ms. Babbitt was shot.

According to left wing NPR. You don't see a partisan connection, do you? What happened that day was a protest that turned into a riot. Most protests turn into riots in the past several years. It is a bad thing. It was not an insurrection.

What makes a civil disturbance and insurrection is when you attempt to interfere with the normal function of government with the goal of keeping it from exercising it's duties. The "rioters" of January 6the 2021 became "insurrectionists" when their stated goal was to "stop the certification of votes and murder the Vice President and Speaker of the House. That's insurrection, no matter how much lipstick you put on it.

This was the one time that they supported an unarmed person being shot and killed by police. Had Ashli Babbit had a different skin color AND a different ideology, there would be riots in the streets by the left. I made sure to emphasize the word and, since Alec Baldwin essentially got away with killing a white woman, who may have been a liberal, but she was white, and in the day and age where the word "Karen" is casually used to demonize white women, it's no wonder that they celebrate Ashli Babbit being shot and killed by a police officer and that officer not being so much as charged with her death, even though no other police officer that day thought it necessary to shoot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. She was white AND a Trump supporter, and the officer who killed her was black, so no way was he going to be charged with a crime.
